I actually bought these paper clips for a chemistry activity on balancing equations. The students make paper clip chains that represent compounds and then "balance" the number of paper clips used for reactants and products. The paper clips hold up well considering I have 50 students making chains and then dismantling the chains over and over again. Some of the paper clips get a little misshapen over time but I just bend them back and they are as good as new! The colors allow me to vary the compounds they make and easily identify one set of compounds from another.

Like the variety of colors especially if I need to color code my paperwork also that they are coated. No tearing of the paperwork.

I've pontificated on these colorful vinyl coated paper clips in the past but buying the 1000-ct tub is much preferable to the smaller size I got before. For one thing the storage factor is greatly enhanced and the clips are also sorted by color which the smaller package is not. Call me OC (they won't let me use the word I want here) but I don't pick a colored paper clip at random. Rather I choose the same color all the time for various project papers organizing my paperwork if you will not just by file container or follder color but match the clips as well. Makes it easier to find something (and file in the right place) for those time when work piles up on my desk. And pile up it does some time!

The clips are great but they arrived with the plastic container broken.....so I had to play 1000 clip pick up!!

Good product that serves its purpose as well as the more expensive coated clips I had been using. Have no reservation on purchasing these. They work just fine.
