Staples 4-Drawer Letter Size Vertical File Cabinet Putty (26.5 inch)

I thought this file cabinet would work well for me; it is 15 inches wide which led me to believe that the drawers would have at least 13 inches of space inside. But due to the style of drawer construction that have just a little less than 12 inches of space. Thus many pocket folders that are a little bigger than manilla folders do not fit into that space and I need to cut off the tops of these folders in order for them to fit in the drawers! I’d never encountered that before so I am really disappointed about the less than ample space across the drawer. Also the system for holding files in place—when the drawer isn’t full isn’t the best. I like the style where a standard in the back of the drawer can be quickly pushed forward or back to support the files in the drawer. These drawers have metal pieces that fit into holes on the side of the drawers to hold the files in place; they need to be taken out and put back in each time you add or eliminate files from the drawer. Otherwise the drawers open and close smoothly and the cabinets are sturdy. I’m just disappointed that I didn’t check them out more closely; as I said I’ve never had this problem before.
