The file cabinet is perfect for my use. It was delivered within a week no long wait which was great. I am very happy with both the product itself and Staples service
I picked this filing cabinet because of the depth and it also seemed sturdy. When I took it out of the box I opened the drawers to ensure they worked properly. The top drawer would not close. After about 10 minutes I took the drawer out. It wouldn't close because the roller on the left side was not installed completely. The back end of it was just dangling there. I was able to put it together and the drawer shut. However the cabinet itself is not square so the drawer sort of closes crooked. The top right side is welded together crooked. I debated bringing it back but I do not have the time.
I wanted but couldn't afford a truly heavy duty commercial grade cabinet because I've bent way too many home use ones over the years. This one is actually pretty darn sturdy. I loaded it smack up and the drawers still roll great and nothing is bending. It doesn't feel tippy even on carpet. It has the high sides to the drawers so you don't need to fight with the awful assembly-required hanging frames. The lock wasn't critical to me but is nice to have and works smoothly. I've heard too many horror stories about the damage done getting cabinets delivered so I did curbside pickup. I generally hate to ask people to help me get stuff to my car but I also want to help limit exposure. The guy was quick pleasant and did no damage to the cabinet or my van. Overall very pleased with the cabinet and the service. Thanks Staples!

I would like to compliment the delivery person. He would not take a tip that was offered. The cabinet is just the right size for the place we hoped it would go. The drawers open and close very easily. It came with a dent in the back. It doesn't show but if you would like to make a monetary adjustment that would be nice.
Old school Admin Assistants require file drawers to file hardcopy. It’s their thing. This file cabinet met the need in our home office by having quality drawer slides and good finish. No sharp edges wobbly drawers or sticking locks. The drawers immediately accommodate hanging folders. (No frames needed. Remember those?) My admin is happy so there is peace on the Paradise Ridge.
This doesn’t come with file rails or the sliding backstop I’ve come to expect from previous filing cabinets. Instead it came with four oddly shaped wire things that can be used to prop up files at an angle. They are weird and useless to me. They are also of such a 3D shape that they cannot lie flat in the drawer for storage. I installed file rails and that works but they must be self-supporting. There are no fittings for file rails in the drawers. The file cabinet seems otherwise as expected and has solid construction.
