I am shocked at the reduction in quality since I bought my other 4-drawer file cabinet about twenty-five years ago. I needed more file storage and this one works but the inside is made of ugly aluminum instead of steel and the file folder label holders on the outside of the drawers are blue and really cheap looking. Fortunately now that the files are in I don't see the aluminum interior much and will try to forget about it. I will attempt to paint the label holders silver which is what they should be. On the plus side the file cabinet arrived undamaged and it seems like it will function well enough.

Amazing that within 24 hours of ordering the file cabinet (+ box of hanging file folders) it arrived at our door. That is very good service. The cabinet is as shown in photos and arrived in perfect new condition. It is not super heavy but suits our needs well. I like the added detail of blue around the drawer label squares. I did tip the delivery driver a $20 to unpack the cabinet move it to our desired location and cart the tall cardboard box away.

Haven't put it into service yet but drawers already do not want to close properly. Unit seems to be out of alignment. Looking forward to seeing how the drawers close as they are filled.

Great affordable filing cabinet

We bought 2 of these filing cabinets to use in our school. They are exactly what we needed. I purchased them on sale and even got free delivery. For the price you absolutely cannot beat this filing cabinet. They come nicely packaged and have a lock and 2 sets of keys. Ours were delivered right to our door and they had no dents or dings. The drawers open and close easily. I think they will last a long time. I had received a message that delivery might be delayed because of a snowstorm in the north but we received them the day after I ordered them. I like it that Staples uses a Staples employee in a Staples truck to deliver their products not just some guy in a pick up truck like the "other" guys do.

The cabinet itself seems fine but we ordered a letter size and got legal size. Did not want to go through the hassle of shipping it back once we got it all unpackaged so ended up having to purchase a bunch of legal size hanging folders instead.

Great buy for your money

We were in desperate need of a place to store all our paperwork in an organized fashion. We had shopped around for a file cabinet but we wanted one that was sturdy and would give us years of service. We saw this one advertised in the paper and thought it sounded like a good deal. We found it to be a very sturdy one with drawers that are roomy and open smoothly. It locks so therefore we can keep personal items stored away securely.

This is even better than I thought. I was tired of cheap clunky file cabinets. These drawers open smoothly even when heavy. Latches work. Hanging folders can use tracks on drawer sides and don't need any inserted frames. The locks allow me to secure drawers if I wish. The color goes well with my room. I have used this file for a year. None of the drawers are warped or scrape. I'm glad I purchased two.
