Came with what seems to be the usual big dent. This time it was on the bottom back corner so it did not impede functioning but looked like somebody just dropped it on the corner of the box. All four drawers do lock but it's a bit touchy. It was a good price for an ok cabinet.

Good quality file smooth drawer action

This is a solid file cabinet with a matte black finish that is quality. The drawer hardward is nicely polished and the release button works smoothly. The drawer construction is tight no "looseness" or noisy action but a very smooth slide to the drawer. The cabinet comes with a built in lock and key that works fine. There are four interior "braces" that slide smoothly into slots in the drawer to position files and prevent them sliding within the drawer when it is closed or opened.

Excellent File Cabinet

We had previously purchased four other Staples 4-Drawer Legal Size Vertical Cabinets. We decided that we needed another cabinet but were running out of space. Therefore we ordered the Staples 4-Drawer Letter Size Vertical Cabinet. It matches perfectly and takes up less space. The only question that you need to ask yourselves is whether you want a Legal Size or a Letter Size. You will not be disappointed.

Our organization purchased a Staples file cabinet years ago. We were trying to get the same exact one but this one is not as deep or sturdy as the first one we purchased. The drawers do not close all the way with a push like first cabinet. You must keep your hand on the drawer to close it all the way. Also it is not heavy & substantial like the other cabinet. It is very light weight & I can move it by myself without assistance. Hopefully it will not tip over when it is full of files & a drawer is open. However it will work for holding files.

A Real File Cabinet

I absolutely love this file cabinet! After purchasing a cheap wooden one from another retailer I finally got my money's worth with this one. Fits all of my files folders and each drawer has the capacity to hold 6 Extra Capacity Hanging File Folders. Love it!
