File cabinets

The two file cabinets we purchased fits or needs to organize our personal information as well as my consulting business. I like the roller action of the drawers that allows smooth quiet operation along with the high sides that allows hanging folders to directly fit without having to purchase and assemble a folder cage like we had in our previous file cabinet. The locking system is very much an attractive benefit to assure security of the information contained within them. The Putty color looks magnificent and the finish was unblemished over the entire cabinet. One more comment for the Staples organization is that I was totally impressed with the way in which two stores worked together to get the two cabinets I needed. The store I fist visited was along Rt. 248 near Nazareth PA. They only had one file cabinet however the store manager called the Staples store in Easton PA on William Penn Highway about five miles away that had it in stock as well. The convenience for me is that the fist store rang-up my purchase for the two cabinets and all I had to do was drive down the road and pick up the second one. The store manager at the Easton Staples store was very helpful as well and assisted in placing that cabinet in my SUV. Very nicely done Staples! The only regret we have is that when we purchase the cabinets we had no coupons from Stables. So two days later as fate has it I received a 20% discount coupon by email. I guess timing is everything.

It doesn't fit our 3" binders when you have them binding side up but they do stack inside fine. Ours is a little wobbly but we just put some cardboard under the side so it was even again. Overall functions well for our needs. We really needed a 4 locking drawer cabinet and it was on sale.

A good filing cabinet

The local staples did not have a cabinet that I wanted so I ordered on line. Delivery was timely...arriving in perfect condition. While I like the cabinet in general it is not made as sturdy as I am accustomed to having for the price paid. However it is a good cabinet deserving four not five stars in my opinion simply for the reason stated. I like Staples and Mitt Romney did a great job in reorganizing the company years ago. I certainly recommend Staples as one of the first choices for what they sell.

The cabinet is sturdy attractive and generous drawer space for the price. I positioned and loaded the cabinets before I realized that one of the drawers stuck and I had to position myself in front of the drawer and work the opening mechanism just right to open it. At this point I didn't relish the return process. I'm small and have to do all of the lugging by myself. I eventually devised a hack that kept the drawer from closing 100% although it appears closed. This is fine as long as I don't need to lock the cabinet which I rarely do. With the hack in place the faulty drawer does open and close smoothly as do the other 3 drawers.
