I came in to Staples because of their excellent reputation and ability to handle my business needs. However I won't be getting anything done at Staples anymore. I brought in a business card that the staff was going to re-create and then print. I was told that the designers Would have the draft Completed and then I would hear from someone in two days at the most. It took four days for me to be able to get anyone on the phone to ask about the draft. I was told that there was an error with the email Queue and then they sent the draft to me right away. After that I made one change and was told it was easy and wouldn't take more than a day for the change. No one called or emailed me so I called back again. I was told that may take two days for the change. Finally I called back again and could not reach the printing staff member who could help me so I left a message but never connected with her. In all fairness she did call me however I was not available to answer the phone. The thing is is I tried to call back and was then on hold for at least 25 minutes at which point I hung up and brought the draft to another printer who had the cards for me the next day with no issues at all.I do think that everyone at Staples is trying to do a good job and at no point was only one rude to me but they just couldn't get the job done. If they had told me it would take a week I probably would've still with the card there . It was too time consuming to get the job done. Staples is not around the corner from where I live so it was not a possibility for me to keep driving down there to resolve the issue. It's too bad because Staples is usually excellent but I am running a business and I have to use another printer for my cards and flyers so that I can be sure to get them when I need them. I found a place closer to my home however I was willing to go to Staples which is a little further because of their reputation. My recommendation is that if you are using staples to assume that it will take twice as long as you need and then you will be OK.
The sizing issue I experienced would probably not be noticeable in all cases. However since I used an image as the background for my cards the sizing issue became more and more noticeable as the sheet was fed.
I am a bit disappointed in the business cards. When they are separated after printing the edges are not sharp and crisp. I have not had this issue in the past.
