[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ziploc has again made the gallon size storage bags even better. This time by shaping the bags to stand up. Now, when filling the bags, one can open them, set it upright, and fill it without worrying about holding it open. The bags are the normal strength and thickness, and are what you would expect from the gold standard of disposable storage bags. These are a ten in my book!!

These have become nearly impossible to open

Ziploc, what's the deal? We've used these bags for years in our house and over the last year we've noticed they've become harder and harder to open. We are two strong-handed people who are on the verge of dumping your brand because you've done something to the bags that doesn't work.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received product reimbursement in exchange for my honest review. I am always using storage bags for leftover food and liquids. I am often doing this by myself and usually make some kind of mess or spill. I tried out these Ziploc gallon bags and didn't spill a drop!!!! I opened it up and folded the edge over, then proceeded to fill it as it stood open. It was great! The only issue I had was when I opened the box: there is a perforated opening that allows you to have access to the bags, but it would not tear cleanly. I ended up shredding the edges of the box so the bags did not feed out in the proper way. That was the only issue, and it would not make me hesitate to buy these Ziploc bags again.

I have been a ziploc user for many, many years, and have always thought the product to be great in all ways. The newest addition to Ziploc bags is the "Easy Open Tab", which, in my case anyway, has failed every time I have used a bag. The tab simply tears away when the bag is being opened, leaving nothing to grasp to separate the two zippers. Here's hoping that they will soon learn this and discontinue the new tabs.
