Ziploc has changed their "zipper" feature and the the baggies that I purchased (sandwich and gallon size) this past month do NOT hold their seal. It is hard to tell when they're actually "zipped", and they do NOT stay closed. Very disappointing. Not sure if it's their way of getting everyone to purchase their more expensive product.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I love these bags

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These bags are durable like all ziplocks. They stand up and make it so much easier to cut and prep fruit and veggies and go straight into the bags. They stay cleaner as I don't have to handle them with dirty hands. I absolutely LOVE the double ziplock to ensure that the bag remains closed as well as locks in the freshness of my food. I also love the designated area for writing dates on the bag.

High Ziploc Quality Bags but Design Flaw

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received product reimbursement in exchange for my honest review. I love Ziploc brand bags, so I thought these would be great. According to a picture on the box and the bags themselves, they should stand up and stay open on their own. They do if you smoosh the bag down very low, but if you try to keep the bag taller to use the full gallon's worth of storage, they don't stay upright. This could get very messy. The quality of the bags themselves are great. I just won't use them how I hoped (being able to easily dump leftovers without needing someone else to hold the bag open or otherwise prop it up.

I've been using these newer style bags (gallon and quart) for a while and I am seeing a problem with the new style flap for opening the bag. It seems the lower side flap peels away form the bag from time to time. This occurs on the Gallon size and the Quart size. When the flap peels away it is very difficult to open the open the bag. When this happens I have to transfer the contents to a new bag. Not very cost effective. This could be an R & D problem. a design problem or an intentional design flaw to force the consumer to replenish their bag for frequently.

I have used Ziploc bags for as long as I can remember. The last box I bought are useless as they split and tear off at the top making it almost impossible to (eventually) open. I am sorely disappointed in your product now, please do something - I do not want to waste my hard earned money on something I cannot use.
