I love these bags but....

My extended family and I love the ziplocbags, especially the newer half gallon ones, which was the best idea because sometimes you just need that in between size. Lately though, we have had an issue with opening the bags. Let me say that I love the quality of the bag and the fact that they seal so well but when I go to open a bag, they are ripping between the blue lines and the main sealed part of the bag. This is happening more and more and I then have to throw them out. I like to reuse them.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really enjoyed the new ZIploc Gallon bags with the Stay Open Design. Nothing is worse than trying to pack snacks and the bags close or fall over and everything falls back out. Especially if you are in a rush. These bags stand and stay open. Makes it so much easier to get them packed, sealed, and the kids off to where they need to be! Game changer! will be buying these from now on.

These rip half the time when we try and open them. Have to open them from the sides, like you would a bag of chips, which doesn't work when filled with wet stuff. Also got an entire bag that was split at the top underneath the ziploc, like someone took a razor to it. And these things happen no matter where I buy them. I think I will only use the freezer style from now on.

what happened to your quality control ? every gallon bag that i use from a box that was recently purchased, leaks at the seams when there is liquid in the bag. the other issue is the ziplock is difficult to open when cold. the bag tears at the corners when it is finally opened.

I have always purchased ziplock bags and had no problems with them. I purchased the new zip lock quart bags and every time I would go to zip them shut they would pull apart below the zipper. Not just me but my son also had them do the same thing! Also, the gallon bags with the new zipper came apart at the bottom seam and spilled everything in it! I have always trusted ziplock but these new ones are not the quality they should be!

Have used Ziploc gallon storage bags for years. When you first released the easy open bags they worked great. Now the last three boxes I purchased the top rips off before I can open the bag to use it. Not only very frustrating but expensive because I have frequently have to use a second bag. So double the cost to store the leftovers.
