So far so good. They seem very sturdy and the expandable feature keeps papers from sliding out of the sides. I use these specifically for home use so I expect they will last many years.

I debated buying these because some of the reviews said the retractable hanger was flimsy and didn't hold the file well. When I got them and put them in my files they held sturdy! I didn't buy these to grab and go mine will be staying in my files. Maybe it's the constant movement of the retractable hanger that makes it flimsy.... I do know that they work great for me and I like 'em A LOT!

Staples Poly Expanding Hanging File Jackets

These are perfect - and colorful too - for organizing my piles of important documents paid bills contracts health records etc. It's exciting to realize that when I'm done I'll be able to find everything about an account in a single file jacket. And for lots of my 'stuff' I can clean out the jackets at the end of the year and re-use the jacket for the current year's items. Nice.

I like that these are made of poly rather than heavy paper as I need the durability. I gave these 4 stars rather than 5 only because I think they could be better in the way they expand without losing their shape. Regardless I'm pleased with the size of the jackets and how much they can hold.

I searched everywhere for these folders and finally found them! I love the poly material and the expansion capabilities. The files fit well in cabinet because of the sliding hooks.

A Good Buy for Me

Several of my regular manila file folders are bulging and bursting at the seams with papers that I need to keep don't want to lose and don't dare discard. When the folders get too fully packed small papers start to fall out of the ends especially when I lift the folder out of the drawer to find what I'm looking for. I knew that some manufacturer makes expanding pocket folders with accordion-like ends so that papers can't fall out and end up in the bottom of the file drawer. So I searched Staples and found their brand of Poly Expanding Hanging File Jackets with closed-in ends Now my important papers will stay put once they're filed.

okay but not totally happy with these

I ordered these to hold larger amounts of information and I am happy with the folder itself but the hangers have something to be desired. They slip they don't stay when I am moving folders back and forth. I would rather they were permanently extended so I wouldn't have to adjust them. They are nice for the idea that if you want to take your folder to go then you can just push them in and they don't snag.
