For my file the hangers were just slightly too narrow to rest on the frame so I had to make attachments which I hope will hold. Would have returned them but had tried a different modification on one which did not work.

The hanging files I purchased do not fit the tabs I purchased for them. Noone informed me of this purchasing error. I intend to return the folders and share this information. Of course I opened the package to check; and I expect local store supports.

Don't hold up well

My biggest issue with these hanging folders is the hangers are plastic and don't hold up under the weight of my documents. These should be a lot more sturdy considering they expand to 3.5" or at least the hangers could be made of metal.

The metal tabs the folders hang from adjusts for convenience which I thought was an awesome thing. However they do not stay at the width you make them which I have found causes the folder to "hang loose."

Until the folder is expanded to its full size the accordian folds make it difficult to insert papers...Plain hanging folders without the sides are easier to use though not collapsible.
