They write very smooth and the grip is great. When I got them my son right away said, I need em for school mom. He loved em as much as i did. He even said mom u gotta buy me more of these. So he is hooked lol.. But the grip is great, they write awesome, and the bright colors make em stand out. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received two packs of Bic velocity mechanical pencils for free from Bic. I was sent them to try them and write an unbiased opinion. I write all day. I'm a scheduler for a major hospital. I adore my paper mate mechanical pencils. I was so excited when I got my Bic pencils in the mail. They are a little thicker with a rubbery finger area. A cap for the eraser and came with extra lead. Awesome fun colors. I love the thickness of the mechanical pencil. I like how hard I can write and not break the lead. I like how dark the .7 lead is as well. Cons. The eraser is worthless. I have been hoping maybe I had to break it in. No. I've been using this for almost a week, and it doesn't erase. Just rubs and smears. Bad. Terrible. Would I buy them? Yes I have a bunch of coupons for my kids for school! If I had the choice between my beloved yellow paper mate and the new Bic velocity. I'm sorry to say i will continue with paper mate. If it had a better eraser I would switch! Thank u for sending my the pencils to try Bic velocity!

Comfy Pencils! My daughter loves them!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughter has been using these pencils, mainly for drawing. She loves the comfy grip, says the eraser works well, and she says the leads breaks less than other mechanical pencils she has tried. Big hit! Will definitely buy these for school!

The best mechanical pencil I have ever tried!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These pencils are awesome! Being a home school mom, I am always watching my kids gets frustrated while doing their school work. Most mechanical pencils have constantly breaking lead and the lead either seems too short or too long. The BIC pencils seem just right. The tip looks like a ball point pen and gives the lead strength. There is a rubber comfort grip that is very comfortable to use. The lead writes smooth and dark but the eraser erases with ease. I also love the fact that they come with 12 extra lead and 5 erasers! I would highly recommend this item. ?#?BICVelocity? ?#?GotItFree?
