[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughter was very excited to give these pencils a try. She is starting 7th grade soon and boring old pencil just don't cut it. She likes the colors, the extra lead, and extra erasers. She said they make her write neat lol. We went to a few stores to get some more to have at the house and was having a hard time finding them. I guess it's because they are new. We will keep on searching.

Setting lead mechanical pencils make it the kids' new fave

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have always hated the weak lead of mechanical pencils, and I detested when the pointy end would snag my sleeve of something in my purse. When Bic came out with these mechanical pencils, they must have interviewed lots of people like me, because this pencil addressed all of my disappointments in mechanical pencils. This product is first, coloful. Next, it is solid and sturdy in my hand. The lead is so strong that even my lefty sensory boy couldn't break the lead while writing. I even asked him to write like he normally does; the lead was steadfast, which says alot. The picture shows both of my kiddos trying the pencils for the first time. Best of all, the point end retracts inside, so my sleeves are saved. The only negative comes from my husband who prefers the 0.5mm over this thicker 0.7mm, but I like the thicker lead. Bic is too awesome. This is such a great product. I'm impressed.

Long-lasting, smooth writing fun with BICÆ VelocityÆ Mechani

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am finding stacks of drawings around the house since I put out a big supply of BIC pencils out for the kids to get creative with! Notes, doodles, sketches, lists... With these BICÆ VelocityÆ Mechanical Pencils, you'll get the smoothest, darkest writing experience of all BIC mechanicals, making them great for taking notes or standardized tests. The thing my kids like most is that the lead is strong and dark, but erases very cleanly. The lead is easy to pop up or retract, so we have much less lead breakage and mess. (You wouldn't believe how fast they go through lead is the off-brand mechanical pencils I bought last summer. And what a mess that made on my floor!) My favorite part about these pencils is that is comes with extra lead and erasers in the pack. The eraser portion of the pencil has a cover which is great. It protects it, keeps it cleaner, and keeps pencil chewers from nibbling! They have a nice, comfortable grip and fun, bright colors too! #BICVelocity #GotItFree

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These came at a perfect time. I got to add them to my quite small collection of school supplies for next year (these pencils and one folder). So I'm happy that I already have some pencils!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I usually stick to the packs of BIC pencils that have 24 cheap pencils in them, but I am so glad I bought these! I was actually a little apprehensive when I first ordered them - I only bought them because a friend loaned me his and I lost the pencil cap and I felt soooo bad I just had to replace his. But, they have become my favorite lead based writing utensil! Anyway, personally I think these pencils are great. They write very smoothly. I haven't had an issue with putting too much pressure and having the lead snap. My friend who actually has this issue with a lot of pencils doesn't have it with these either. The erasers on these pencils are pretty nice too. They don't seem to disintegrate into tiny specks like ones on cheaper mechanical pencils. They also don't make that horrible 'noise' that the pink erasers do either, which is great. One thing I do dislike about these though is that they get used up pretty quickly. I've been mainly only using the pink pencil and eraser is about halfway gone already and it's only been about 3 weeks since I got these. It's a little disappointing, but the pack does come with extra erasers. I'd definitely recommend getting a separate eraser though, like one of the the big rectangle ones. Speaking of erasers, one thing I don't understand is the caps. The erasers have caps on them. ...Why? The whole cap thing is why I had to get these in the first place. I think they're supposed to prevent having the lead get pushed out accidentally while you have the pencils in your bag or a case or something. However, upon trying out these pencils for the first time, I immediately lost two of the caps. They're clear so they are very difficult to find if you misplace them. Be careful. These pencils seem to be pretty durable. I've had one of mine roll of my desk and get kicked across the classroom several times and stepped on once and it hasn't cracked or anything. These might actually be suitable for children and clumsy people like myself. The design of these is just great too in my opinion. The look is very sleek and the colors are so attractive. My favorites are the pink and orange. I honestly don't see too many orange mechanical pencils. The yellow is great too. It actually looks even brighter and more neon in person than in the photo. The blue one is just blue - there's nothing much to say about it. They all look pretty nice. I may even go so far as to say they look /sharp/. Because they're pencils. Do you get my joke? Overall, I definitely think these are worth the price. They'll last you a long time and save you money in the long run if you are like me and used to keep buying the huge packs cheaper pencils every few months

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughter loves these! I got them for her back to school supplies, and she loves them! The bright colors and refills are perfect for a teenage girl. She loves that they feel good in her hand and don't break easily like others.
