[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These mechanical pencils are by far the best I and my daughters have ever used! For me, most other mechanical pencils lead would always break while writing and seemed cheaply made. But BIC Velocity pencils are sturdy, write smoothly, and are comfortable in your hand with the rubber grip. My teen daughter also loves them and has insisted I stock up on them for her school year. She loves the bright colors, how well they write and erase, and says the lead is easy to advance. I love that for such a small price I can get such an awesome pencil with extra erasers and lead without breaking the bank. I would absolutely recommend these for anyone who writes! What he loved the most was the addition of the extra lead/erasers included in his pack. He was constantly running out of erasers & lead in the mechanical pencils we purchased previously. The pencils are also an array of colors and fit well into his hands. You'll certainly get more bang for your buck with this product because they'll last longer than competing brands.

My boys would much rather have something fun and exciting then a boring old mechanical pencil. When I put these bright colored BIC Velocity Mechanical Pencils in their pencils boxes they lit up with excitement. These pencils are not only pretty, they work so well. Kids can be rough and this lead stands the test. It's very strong and didn't break like typical mechanical pencils which means the lead will last a long time. I love knowing something that seems simple will make my boys want to write more each day!

They said they never had a pencil that write so smooth. It felt nice, looked nice and was a perfect pencil according to all 3 of the kids! I love that they come Ina pack of five with different colors. My favorite part is it comes with extra led and erasers because most other brands do not. I also like that they look more like a pen than a pencil. They are very easy to use and refill as well! Like the cap over the eraser as well. Gives it a more polished look. What would I want to know before purchasing this product? Why didn't you come up with this design sooner?! It's seriously my favorite mechanical pencil now!

I typically do not use pencils but I tried these out for a week and I use them quite often at work now to jot down notes. My daughter is in love with the color selections that were available as well. They have definitely replaced her old pencils I have purchased in the past. The coupons I received were shared among friends so they could get the experience as well. I will definitely be purchasing these in the future!!

My daughter says it feels like using a pen when she writes with them but it is a pencil. She loves that! They have a nice, easy open case for extra lead. The pencils are #2 so they can be used in school and erase smoothly. Lots of fun for kids!
