But I have a Son how doesnt like to write only in school time LoL because is a most. This Bic Velocity Mechanical Pencil came in a brilliant blue that he just grab it and test it ... now how can take it away from him or stop him. Ok, love the refil lead and eraser. Love the colors, is nice and smooth but dark writing leads just like #2 pencil and it erase cleanly . They are happy and writing so Im happy too.

Here's why: He likes the grip that makes them easier and more comfortable to hold, and how they look and feel like a nice pen in his hand. The color assortment is trendy and bright, and the best part is that the lead for them does NOT easily break. (A problem he's had with other mechanical pencils in the past.) From my standpoint, I really am comfortable with the pricing. They are a good value for the money, and not at all costly when compared to other mechanical pencils.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have 2 middle school boys who love to draw and these BIC Velocity Mechanical Pencils are a hit. They like them so much they have either gave one to a friend or told them what kind they are, and to get a boy to say that much is a miracle in middle school!! From their mouths, my 13 yr old says, they don't drag on the paper and you don't have to push hard. My 11 yr old says he likes the colors but wishes there was a green one and that they erase easy and make his drawings look awesome. I tried them out and agree. They write clean and smooth, and they erase well. I didn't have any trouble with the lead breaking either. All in all, I will buy them. If only for the fact that my boys like them enough that they haven't lost them all!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the new Bic Velocity pencils. I like that fact that they write smoothly. It seems to have a thicker lead compared to other brands. I notice the darkness of the lead is a tad bit darker than other brands as well. I like that the pencils come in fun colors as well as with an extra package of lead. I also like the fact that it comes with grips on the pencil for your fingers.

Other than that, the others worked great, and were smooth to write with. MY boys and I all really liked them and I LOVE the extra lead and erasers included!
