[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the BIC Velocity Mechanical Pencils free for review. My daughter absolutely loves the colors and ease of use for these pencils. It is nice that they also include refills as well. I notice that they are slightly stronger than other mechanical pencils when writing, which for a school student is key.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My whole family usually prefers regular pencils because mechanical ones are typically made with thin leads that snap easily. We love the way these write! They glide across the page and the leads don't break. They write dark, too. Only downside is being a lefty. There's nothing that prevents the lead from getting on the side of my hand.

The kind I used to buy her broke easily and the eraser made a big mess every time she used it. I had her try BIC Velocity Mechanical Pencils and she was very impressed. She said they write very smoothly and the eraser doesn't leave big smudges all over her paper. We'll be using BIC Velocity Mechanical Pencils from now on.

True Colors

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Fun colors, you can't pick just one! Comfortable and soft to hold. Smooth writing and erases clean. Must have for the coming school year. I usually avoid mechanical pencils for a few reasons. I tend to put a lot of pressure on writing tools, so the lead usually breaks on me resulting in a lot of lost product. It also is hard to refill the pencils trying to fit the lead into the tiny hole. My concern is people will used to cheap mechanical pencils that can't be refilled which they're used to throwing away then they run out of lead The Bic Velocity mechanical pencils, I have not had a problem. The lead seems to be very sturdy, and has not broken on us. That is a major bonus because I really didn't like wasting the product, even if it was just little pieces. The lead writes really smooth, and does not smear. It is even when writing, not too dark or too light. It is very comfortable to hold. These are so durable that they should last for along time. They are great for any age person to use. I would definitely recommend these pencils.

I think they will hold up to my children's abuse, and last much longer than the average mechanical pencils that I have bought in the past. These are easy to use, and nice and colorful! I would definitely get these pencils again, and plan to put them on my back-to-school shopping list for sure this year! I would highly recommend these to anyone! #BICVelocity #GotItFree

My son was excited to have a package with extra leads. My daughter was excited about the bright colors. I liked them due to the grip and width if the actual pencil, which allows for much smoother writing.

Also doing math is great for when they make a mistake they can just simply erase with the nice eraser on the other end that is a clean eraser. I am impressed how the Bic Velocity Mechanical Pencil helps keep the kids busy with their homework as the lead is so strong.

My 14 year old has taken most of the pencils because he loves how smoothly they write and how well the eraser works. Usually the will take all the boy" colors and leave mommy with the 'girl" colors
