excellent mechanical pencils!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I want to start out by saying... I LOVE LOVE LOVE these velocity mechanical pencils by Bic! I am super picky about the pencils I choose to write with. I do NOT like lead that writes soft, I like lead that writes with a nice rich, dark lead and these deliver just that! I am all about qulality when it comes to my penmanship and this style of lead just fits my style of life. I feel the smooth, dark lead improves my penmanship 10fold and as a bonus improves my artistic side as well. The colors they come in are def a bonus of fun and the pack also gives extra lead refills to get you to the next time you have to head to to the store to get more (and trust me, you will want to continue to by that replacement lead for these). I also enjoyed the softer rubber like cushioning around the lower part of the pencil for added comfort to those like me who tend to hold on tight when they wrote!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received these BIC mechanical pencils in exchange for my complete and honest review from BIC. Pros: Come in really bright, vibrant colors Comes with EXTRA lead and erasers...BONUS!!! Erasers completely erase clean without smudging or tearing your paper. Lead writes very smooth and dark like I prefer Lead easily advances up the pencil barrel Has a nice, comfortable grip Tip is retractable so it is not poking things in your pocket, bag, etc. Cons: Sometimes the retractable tip goes back in when you are writing. Can be ANNOYING. The lead is a nice, fine lead that writes dark, but since it's so fine, it can snap pretty easily. This makes you use more lead than really necessary, or you have to only click out a really tiny portion at a time. Overall thoughts: Despite a little issue with breakage of lead, it is not something that would prohibit me from buying these pencils. I really like how they write and they are a good value for the money. The erasers aren't tiny and will really last, especially since you get a few extra in the package. The barrels are not cheap like some mechanical pencils are, so this will last and not be something you throw out once the lead is gone. I would definitely recommend purchasing these!

He is a lefty and often has pencil all over his hand. Not with these. He's pencil lead free with these. The lead does not break as easily which is nice and the extra lead and erasers are a huge plus. It's easy to change the lead as well which is so impressive with a disposable pencil. A++

The best aprt about them is the fact the lead doesn't break as easily as the other brands, and they are very stylish. This will definately be in my children's backpacks this year for school. The Eraser even works really well! My kids can't stop drawing and making me pictures with them either, this is a great product and I'm buying some more. #GotitFree

Writes so dark!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the BIC Velocity mechanical pencils! My biggest complaint with mechanical pencils is that they write very lightly, but the velocity is soooo dark. I compared the writing to my paper mate pencils and there is a huge difference! The rubber grip at the bottom fits very comfortably in my hand and it erases cleanly. My only complaint is if you push hard to erase it pushes the lead out longer. It is annoying to keep having to push the lead back in when I erase, but I can deal with it for the excellent grip and writing legibility.
