[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son exculsively likes mechanical pencils, but hates the constant lead breakage. I have had him try these for some of his summer assignments and he loves them! He has requested that I keep all my samples for him ( I will just buy him some extras! )

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We're big fans of mechanical pencils, and I honestly don't remember the last time my children asked me to buy those plain, boring yellow #2 pencils. When my boys tore into my package of BIC Velocity mechanical pencils, they immediately put them to use. As a parent, I love that these pencils are convenient to use and don't require sharpening. I also love that they're ready to go right out of the package. The boys remarked several times about the smooth tips and how they seemed to glide over the paper they were drawing on. The barrels are very easy to grip and the lead is thick and dark, so whatever you write or draw comes out clear and vivid. Erasing didn't create a mess either, like it does with regular pencils, and that is a huge plus. The package comes in a wide assortment of fun colors, so you can easily pick and choose a different color for every day of the week, and these colors are suitable for both boys AND girls. The container that houses the lead refills is sturdy and holds up much better in my son's crowded backpack than the flimsy breakable containers that so often come with other brands of mechanical pencils. After sampling the Velocity variety, I'm positive our family of four will never settle for boring yellow #2 pencils ever again. Kudos to BIC for another wonderful product! (DISCLAIMER: I received a free sample of this product from BIC, but all opinions expressed are entirely my own).

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I admit it. I'm an office supply addict. Pencils, pens, notepads, organization, is my downfall. The BIC Velocity Mechanical Pencil is the perfect pencil to add to my collection. Stylish, easy to grip, and a smooth writing style make this pencil a happy girl's dream.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son was so excited to come home to a brand new pack of BIC Velocity Mechanical Pencils. He loved the variety of colors and was so excited to draw me a picture with them. The lead was so smooth he was able to sketch smoothly and if he made a mistake he was still able to erase cleanly. Although erasable, the pencil lines did not smudge with the side of his hand. He is so excited to take them to school and write with them!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My five year old son is so curious. I was showing my daughter the pencils (she's eleven) and my son said he wanted to try them, too. I showed him how they worked, he needed just a little help and then he was busy writing his name! My daughter wrote some to do" lists and liked how smooth the pencil wrote. She wants to show and tell her friends!"

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 14 YO was really excited to get these #BICVelocity mechanical pencils to try. He likes mechanical pencils much more than regular wood pencils. He really likes the look of these & he likes the way they write. They write very smooth & they erase completely without the eraser crumbling. While he's not exactly excited to start school, with these great #2 pencils he'll be ready for anything! #GotItFree *Disclaimer: I received this product free from Bic & BzzAgent for my honest review. All experiences and opinions are my own.*
