My new mechanical pencil

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think this is one great mechanical pencil it is easy to use and easy to write with the writing is very smooth or your work is very smooth your work or your words do not smear or fade as you are using this mechanical pencil it is easy to erase your work if you need to and it is easy to read loves the mechanical pencil when it needs to be reloaded this mechanical pencil is great for children or yourself to write the mechanical pencil is very comfortable to write with or do you work with and the design is very great to have and hold in your hand and the color is very bright and very pretty and they do come in different colors this mechanical pencil is great to have and I really enjoyed my mechanical pencils when I used them and I love using them thank you

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] New Bic Velocity pencils are making teachers everywhere breathe a sigh of relief. Gone are the sloppy, lead smudged assignments, these pencils are nothing but smooth and sleek writing. They are heavy duty and I love the precision writing experience I get with the retractable tip. It makes it feel more like a pen, only its better because it's a pencil and its erasable! The soft grip makes it a breeze to write those long essays with the utmost comfort. And push as hard as you might, this lead seems almost indestructible. The only complaint I have is the eraser smears the pencil mark rather than erases it so you have to go over it numerous times to get a good, clean page. Other than that I felt as though this is by far superior to any other mechanical pencil I've ever used. My five year old even told me how much he enjoyed drawing with it. All this and fun, fashionable colors make your writing experience superbly satisfying!

My daughter has been using them since school started last week and I can see a big difference in her writing and how clean her papers are. The eraser is much better than other pencils and her writing is much better because of the grip of the pencil. She is loving them too and isn't complaining about writing like she used to!

Great for Back To School!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 8th grader was extremely excited to be using Bic Velocity, so when the first day of school arrived, he reminded me to pack his new pencils so he wouldn't miss out on using one! I know that one of the facets that drew him in was the variety of colors and the fact he really hates standard lead pencils. He chose three colors, carefully that morning and put the other two in the pack aside for later when he'd need them. He's been back in school for two weeks now, and he uses his pencils constantly, even when drawing in his spare time! He even tells me they help with his handwriting and are easier on him as he is left handed. He guards his pencils with his life, while last year he would lose or missplace writing utensils, so far so good with Bic Velocity. He's not lost one, and even lending them out is a chore, but he makes sure he get's the pencil back before class ends LOL. For this reason I decided to send the extras with him to give to his closest friends. He loved this idea! I must say, we have a very big fan here in my son. I have used the pencils myself for my work, and I will admit the lead markings are not dull and light as with many pencils I've used. This leaves your writing highly legible and neat. I have had no issue with accidental smudging and the eraser doesn't tear my paper, wiping away the mistakes I make, with ease. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who writes or draws regularly! p

Right out of the starting gate a package of these comes with extra erasers and lead - must haves when you're using a mechanical pencil. They are sturdy and come in bright, happy colors. The lead is tough and doesn't break easily the way I've seen with other brands of mechanical pencils. They write smoothly and don't get that occasional nails on a chalkboard" squeak to them the way others sometimes do when writing. All in all

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the way the pencils feel, they are a good weight and sit in the hand nicely. The lead writes clearly and does not drag on the paper. Mistakes are easily cleared with the eraser. However the mechanics of advancing the lead seems touchy. I have had to take the pencils apart numerous times to clean out jammed lead. It does not always advance the lead even after several clicks also occasionally. Overall nice but some flaws.
