Mine came with extra erasers and lead and since erasers are always the first to go I was pretty excited. I have to hide them from my children because I want them to myself. :)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I always use Bic mechanical pencils because they are far above all mechanical pencils. The only problem I have with them that the erasers always rub out before the pencil does. I was excited to try out this brand of BIC to see how it measured up to other BIC products I was excited to receive the Bic velocity mechanical pencils and see that included in the packaging are extra erasers and leads. The lead is softer and writes smoothly on the paper. You do get a smudge here and there, probably because of the smoother lead. The eraser does a great job of completely erasing the mistakes and smudges. The pencil has the comfort grip that eliminates hand cramps when you are writing for long periods of time. I wrote for over an hours filling out weekly lesson plans and I did not get one cramp. All in all, I am completely pleased with this product and will purchase again.

It helps keep them from being constantly out of their seats. This year sadly, they opted not to allow the kids to use them. But we use them at home almost for the same reason. My son uses them for his homework and he does really like them. They are easy to use, what they had at school and I think they make him feel a little more grown up! ;) We will continue with the big kids to use them!

I must have dug out every traditional pencil in my house. When i received the BIC velocity mechanical pencils i wondered why i waited so long. these are dependable and easy to use. The tips don't break as easy as i thought they would so I always had a pencil to use without searching for a sharpener.

Smooth Writing Pencils

I decided to put the pencils anywhere I would usually use pens to force myself to use them regularly in different situations. At first I found myself breaking the lead frequently. But after continued use, I found that I no longer was breaking the lead. There are numerous benefits of these pencils. Such as, if the lead breaks, another lead smoothly transitions, you do not have to keep pushing on the pencil. Another thing I love about the pencils is the eraser. The eraser has a cap on it. I admit, it took a little getting used to, taking the lid off. But the eraser does a great job. I love the way the pencils write. As much as I have been writing, I still have not had to add more lead. I would recommend these pencils to anyone who uses pencils, not just students. I will purchase these pencils in the future.
