We are loving these pencils..

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are great! My kids started using mechanical pencils last year. Clicking is way more fun than sharpening! We've had trouble with other brands, having the lead break soon after they would click" more out.. We have not had that problem with BIC Velocity Mechanical Pencils. I like the metal tip that comes out and goes back in when we push the lead back inside to avoid breaking while not in use. We love the colors. The finger grips ensure that you don't leave an indention in your finger after some intense writing. I'm not crazy about the eraser cap

writes so smoothly

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son loves BIC Velocity mechanical pencils. He is not a big fan of regular lead pencils. He has tactile issues and mechanical pencils have always worked best for him. They come with #2 lead so schools like them. I like that the lead does not break easily. My son often presses either too hard or too lightly and leads break frequently for him. We go through a lot of mechanical pencils. With I find that BIC Velocity Mechanical pencils seem to have stronger lead that can take a little bit of a beating. The lead also is dark and writes smoothly.

Needs more cushion

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love mechanical pencils ... and these seemed great with the rubber grip, but it provides little cushion. I tend to hold my writing utensil very firmly and like a decent amount of cushion. This had some, but could use more. The did write very smooth, and the lead was excellent. #BICVelocity #GotItFree

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love these pencils!! They're durable. They actually have the metal tips, instead of the cheap plastic ones. The lead is awesome. The writing actually comes out dark and very clear. It smudges just a little but you actually have to rub on it a little to get that to happen. It erases pretty cleanly and without a ton of mess. The kids love them! #BICVelocity #GotItFree @BzzAgent

BIC has made me rethink mechanical pencils

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These BIC Velocity Pencils are really well made. We are loving the bright and bold colors. They are surprisingly strong in that the lead is thinner than the average #2 pencil, but these leads aren't flimsy/fragile/easily broken. We find that just pushing the top and having out just enough lead to write with is best - no need to push out more lead as it's not necessary and will make the pressure point weaker. These thinner leads are great for things like precision writing, writing for an extended time or writing within a small space (ex: forms with limited writing space). My middle school-er is really enjoying writing with these mechanical pencils. He is working hard on his cursive writing and says that the BIC Mechanical Pencils make calligraphy or cursive writing easier as the point of the lead is smaller and it is easier to control the pencil due to the smooth tip. I also like the padding near the lead as it makes the pencil easier to grip. It will be much more comfortable to take notes in class once school begins and I won't have to be bothered by having to use the pencil sharpener." Although my son does say that he wishes there were more "boyish" colors - describing the majority of the mechanical pencils as basically girlish colors. He said he would like to see more basic colors like green

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My children thought the #BicVelocity pencils were cool because of the different colors. They gave the extra pencils to their friends in the first day of school and they were a hit. The second day of school they asked to bring their friends the $1 off coupons. That's #BicVelocity for letting us try them for free. The kids already want to buy more.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love, love, love bic's mechanical pencils. They have been my to go work instrument, no pens, no wooden pencils, for more than half my life and the pencils I would get my kid for school. These are just cooler and easy to write with. I love them!! #BICVelocity #GotItFree

BIC has reintroduced me to the benefits of mechanical pencil

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Okay, if you're like me, you probably haven't thought much about mechanical pencils or even used them much. I used these back in my school days - who even knew they were still trending?! Just grab a regular #2 pencil and do your thing right?! Well, not so much. This BzzCampaign was a great reintroduction into the usefulness and convenience of a BIC Velocity Mechanical Pencil. First, this pencil is well designed and it looks very much like a typical pen. I've picked it up several times thinking it was a pen! Great pencil for adults to work with as well as children. Gives you a step up in appearance from a typical #2 pencil and it definitely looks more professional. It has a sleek/smooth design that is light years over the hard/wood feel of a typical #2 pencil. The BIC is easy to hold, comfortable to grip and they are pleasing to look at. Anyone can hold a typical #2 pencil...but why not stand out from the crowd and hold a neon bright BIC Mechanical Pencil! My kids and I are loving it. It is very smooth and the lead dispenses out with just a small click from the top - just like a regular pen. My kids love to use pencils - especially in the car and always for doing homework. These pencils are great for even a younger writer as the lead is durable and strong, although it is much thinner than a typical #2 pencil. One of my daughter's is especially interested in using these once school resumes as she loves the bright colors and says that there is often a line at the pencil sharpener - especially during test and class projects. She stated, these will be much better to use. Everyone will be up sharpening
