They are perfect for college because they don't take up a lot of space and they are reasonably priced! I love them!!!! I love how they come with extra erasers because I always find myself running out eraser before lead!!! I love so much.

My teen girl is always drawing and can't wait to try them out for school work....not that she wants to do school work ..LOL. The only drawback both of us have discovered ( and why we only have it 4 stars) is the cap over the eraser....too easy to lose and a bit of a pain each time you need to use it to put on and off.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] At first, when my daughter and I opened the first pencil we were a bit confused because the tip looked like a pen. It didn't look like the typical mechanical pencil. We both second guessed and checked the packaging :). The pencils come in bold popular colors. My son requested the blue and my daughter just wanted any one of them. The pencils are very easy to hold. Unlike other mechanical pencils, they have a rubber like grip at the base that makes it more ergonomical to use which in turn makes it easier to hold when writing. The pencil writes clearly and like any other pencil. The eraser is a similar size to other pencils too. For some reason I expected a larger eraser for such a nice pencil. The eraser removes the lead easily unless the the user presses hard when writing. Overall this is a high quality mechanical pencil that is designed to make a color statement at school. It is a bonus that is is ergonomical and easier to hold. Win win for parent and kid.

Velocity #2 pencils better than any others

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My opinion of the BIC Velocity mechanical pencils is that they are WONDERFUL. I love the bright colors of the pencils themselves. They are not the typical black plastic that most other mechanical pencils come in. The #2 lead writes smoothly and almost fluidly. It doesn't smear easily which can be a problem with other pencils. The lead erases easily, and the eraser doesn't leave behind much debris. The fact that the pencils come with extra lead and erasers are a plus. I can refill my favorite color (orange) and keep it in my purse at all times. The BIC Velocity pencils get an A+ in my mind. LOVE them. Fun colors, and functional. Well made product. Thank you BIC.

Best mechanical pencil

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I always thought that mechanical pencils are all the same. But to my knowledge Bic Velocity Mechanical pencils aren't. It's design is unique, it has a tall eraser not like other that is short and a cover for its eraser how cool is that. That way it doesn't get lost or dirty. Also it has a comfortable grip that makes it comfortable to write and won't get your fingers tired of all the writing great for kids at school that are always writing the whole day. It has beautiful cool color . The tip looks like a pen but it isn't which makes the lead to have more grip and won't break like others, although the lead is strong and writes very smoothly just so different from other mechanical pencils. It erases very well doesn't leave no stain or anything. This is great for kids ,my kids love it and the best of all it comes with eraser refill which I never seen that in any package. The most important and best of all is #2 HB great for examens how much can you ask for everything you look for in a pencil is all in one.
