They were very flimsy and could be easily broken. These are of such great quality and my son absolutely loves them.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These new BICÆ VelocityÆ Mechanical Pencils are the best mechanical pencils I have ever used I love the fact they have the soft grip comes in handy for when you have a lot of writing to do and they write smoothly without any hesitation I highly recommend if you have a need for mechanical pencils these are the ones and they come in fun colors. My kids love them as much as me or more they love there drawing and it makes them use their creative minds

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I do a lot of writing/drawing and I have been thrilled to use these mechanical pencils for my projects at home. They are easy to use and the lead is strong for the projects I use them for. All the colors are fun to use and I love how they feel on my fingers while using them. If you make a mistake then erase it with the little eraser on the end or refill it with the extras the pack comes with. My child is planning on using these in school this year and is really excited to have some fun pencils to show their friends this coming year!

I love the satisfaction of a well sharpened pencil, but let's face it that doesn't happen often with wonky sharpeners. Enter BIC Velocity Mechanical Pencils. With a pop of color, never dull lead, and a pen like quality these pencils are fantastic. They write smooth, erase well, and you can't beat the long lasting lead. Give the Velocity a whirl and be amazed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I popped two of these pencils in my 7th grader's backpack one evening, forgetting to let him know about them the next morning. To my surprise, it was the very first thing my middle school son commented on after getting home from school. He thought the pencil grips were wonderful and couldn't believe how easy it was to write with these new BIC Velocity pencils. (He is used to getting generic mechanical pencils.) He liked the capped eraser, as his erasers are always getting dirty in his bag and leaving smudges, that his teachers dislike, on his papers. He wanted to trade me the rest of his generic pencils for the BIC Velocities. He was not thrilled about the purple and pink ones, and wanted to know if there were packs of plain black ones. If there aren't please make some, BIC!
