Great Mechnical Pencils

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a family of mechanical pencil fans, so I was excited to be part of BzzAgent's new BIC Velocity Mechanical Pencil campaign #GotItFree. I could tell these were high quality, just from the packaging alone. Then, when I opened the package up, they were pretty and felt just right in my hand. I also gave one to my 11 year old daughter to try out with me. The pencils worked as well as they looked; didn't break as easily as many of the mechanical pencils we've tried. The only thing I'd say that wasn't up to par was the eraser doesn't need to come off, and doesn't work as well as I'd like it to. Other than that, they are terrific pencils, and I'd recommend them to anyone who likes to use an easy, reliable pencil. #BICVelocity

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I took my mechanical pencil into work planning on giving it a test run. My friend Chico noticed my bright yellow pencil and I couldn't resist letting her give it a spin. Chico reviews customer information in our office which can require several edits so using a pencil is mandatory. I passed my pencil on but asked her to please give me her honest feedback. Here is what she thought. First she loved the color...bright sunshine yellow. She said the barrel was sturdy (not flimsy) and nice to hold in her hand. The lead was strong and did not break with pressure. The eraser corrected smoothly and did not smear. The only suggestion was to remove the eraser cap as it was unnecessary and just got in the way. I was happy to pass my pencil along as it made Chicoc's day and she gave me a solid review. . Thanks Chico!

Awesome! My new go to mechanical pencil!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am a pencil person. I love pencils over pens any day. But at work its hard to find pencils. I got these free from BIC to review. I jumped at the chance to have some new go to pencils at work! I think these pencils are great. They write very smoothly. I haven't had an issue with putting too much pressure and having the lead snap. The erasers on these pencils are pretty nice too. They don't seem to disintegrate into tiny specks like ones on cheaper mechanical pencils. I love the fact that it comes with extra eraser too!! Speaking of erasers, one thing I don't understand is the caps. The erasers have caps on them. ...Why? The whole cap thing is why I had to get these in the first place. I think they're supposed to prevent having the lead get pushed out accidentally while you have the pencils in your bag or a case or something. However, upon trying out these pencils for the first time, I immediately lost two of the caps. They're clear so they are very difficult to find if you misplace them. Be careful. These pencils seem to be pretty durable. I've had one of mine roll of my desk and get kicked across the classroom several times and stepped on once and it hasn't cracked or anything. These might actually be suitable for children and clumsy people like myself. The look is very nice and the colors are so pretty. It actually looks even brighter and more neon in person than in the photo. Overall, I definitely think these are awesome.They'll last you a long time and if you love pencils these are totally worth it!

Love the extra erasers!

When we got the free packs, I was excited to see that extra erasers were included. Just hope the kids will remember to come to me for a replacement eraser instead of throwing out the pencil when the eraser is gone!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My girls love the Velocity pencils. As avid artists, I buy a lot of art supplies for them but these have saved me a lot of money. The pencils are very sturdy and the lead really holds up to the amount of drawing they do.

Nice style

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think the style of the pencil is great, however, my Sophmore says she would prefer them to be in the 0.9 size rather then the 0.7, as the lead continues to break and when she uses the eraser, it pushes out extra lead. She does like the style of the pencil though. She would just prefer the thicker lead.
