Bic Velocity Pencils - My New Favorite Tool

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I don't usually think too much about the pencils I write with. I often just grab whatever is in front of me and sharp. However, I am picky about pens. My go to Bic Crystal in blue. I keep on in my car, purse, work bag and several on my desk. Turns out I am picky about my pencil, too, after trying the Bic Velocity mechanical pencil. It feels like a nice pen and I don't have to click very often, or sharpen like wood pencils. I love a fine tip on a pencil and the .7mm works perfect. The eraser is good too and has a cap. Sure, I have shared with my kids (they have homework to do after all!) but I quickly hoard when they're done. I want to hang on to these babies. Especially with the extra lead and erasers that come in the pack of five. So, now I think about what pencil I use too. And from now on it will be a Bic Velocity mechanical pencil.

We both love how clear they write and how well they erase as both are needed for his algebra homework! I was told today that I needed to buy more because some have broken. It's only been 2.5 weeks. Now I'm debating buying more of these due to the positives and see if those hold up or finding another brand.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was lucky enough to be chosen to try the Velocity Mechanical Pencils from Bic. In all honesty I'm not a very big fan of mechanical pencils and after trying these I'm quite impressed. The colors and design of these pencils are so appealing especially for school kids and adults as well. Who doesn't want to have something cool and bright to write with. But the real deal for me was how well these pencils perform. I hated mechanical pencils for a few reasons and these just blew me away. The lead on these pencils seem alit stronger and I found I could actually write with them without the lead continuously breaking. The lead also erased easily and nicely unlike other mechanical pencils. The other great little feature that I was impressed with was the little convenient extra lead and eraser case they came with. It was very easy to open and was a great little extra. All in all I am quite impressed with these pencils and I finally now can use a mechanical pencil that gives me the benefit of a regular pencil but with the ease of convenience that the mechanical pencils offer.

This was my kids first introduction to mechanical pencils so it was quite the adventure for them. There was lots of excitement by my kids! They have loved using them and are easily converts. The best part is they never need sharpening! Plus they are easy to use, write well, and erase easily. All important qualities in a top notch pencil. We highly recommend these!

Great pencil, but poor eraser

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The BIC Velocity Mechanical Pencil is a nice sturdy pencil. The lead is smooth, the grip is comfortable, it comes in great colors. But there is more to a pencil than just the lead... There is also an eraser. Unfortunately, the BIC velocity mechanical pencils eraser doesn't hold up. It may be because of the thickness of the lead or the intensity of its pigment, but regardless of cause, it doesn't completely erase without considerable effort...meaning you'll run out of eraser too soon. In summary, this is a great pencil, and just average eraser.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was excited when Bzz Agent had invited me to this campaign. I am a college student, my daughter is in high school, and my son will soon attend college as well. I've always been a fan of Bic pencils. This brand is usually always the brand that I choose when I pick up my supplies from the college bookstore. The Bic Velocity mechanical pencils are available in different colors (not the lead). They are also available in .07 and .09 lead. They write smooth and evenly on the paper. The pencils generally come with multiple erasers to replace the worn down erasers. I'm having to take algebra, and I make a lot of mistakes! I NEED plenty of erasers! They are extremely easy to replace. Just pull out the old eraser and replace with the new one. I even flip the eraser around before replacing with a new one. Now, let me share a bit of honesty with everyone. My daughter swears by another brand of pencils. However, I cannot stand using them! They twist and turn when I'm trying to use the eraser. Definitely not practical for me. She did become excited when my package arrived. I noticed that she grabbed a couple of my new Bic Velocity pencils. She was very pleased with them, and I will update with her bzz report later. I thought it would be fun to use a few of the coupons to purchase additional packages. I'm passing out new Bic Velocity pencils to see how others like them as well!
