BIC Velocity Mechanical Pencils: a big hit from the beginnin

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My teens and even us adults are more than impressed by the BIC Velocity Mechanical pencils! This is my updated review after giving them, and us, some extra time to use them throughout the summer before school starts. My 15 year old very particular daughter has been using them nonstop during summer doing her Advanced Summer English assignment. She?s also been using them to study for Spanish for the upcoming year, and her drivers permit test. She uses the BIC Velocity Mechanical Pencils to make note cards for each subject to study. They have become extremely helpful in encouraging her to be on task. My 13 year old son has had occupational issues and fine motor skill issues all his life. Handwriting has been a struggle for him and much more frustration than fun. He absolutely loves these pencils and has been using them to practice his writing skills. He's been writing short stories at home about things he enjoys l, or fun things we?ve done over the summer. He has also been using them in Occupational Therapy as well. The vibrant choice of colors excites them as well as the fine darker lead which helps make their writing more crisp and clear. This is especially helpful for my son given his challenges with handwriting. The soft grip is exceptionally helpful for my son and even my daughter, which provides a more comfortable grip. No more need to sharpen a pencil, and refilling lead and erasers is a breeze. The BIC Velocity Mechanical pencils have been a life saver for us! These pencils have helped pull my kids away from their electronics and get their minds back into school ahead of time. Which as a parent that's a major achievement! They are an amazing learning tool for a variety of age ranges. They help in engaging children of all ages so they can be more passionate about writing. They have aided in sparking a passion for writing in our home. These would be an amazing tool in not only an educational school environment, but also those used to help children learn the skills to succeed in improving their handwriting for school. All of us as a family feel the BIC Velocity Mechanical pencils surpass the average mechanical pencil, and we highly recommend that families give them a try this year during school. The only letdown is that the erasers are not as strong as they could be. My kids prefer to use different erasers. That doesn't discourage me from giving 5 stars because regardless of this they are an amazing mechanical pencil and completely worth the purchase!

Great for my Artist

Bic Velocity are great pencils!

I have been using BIC for years and have used a lot of mechanical pencils in my day but these, I have to say are my hands down our favorite pencils! They write so much smoother and the lead is much darker. I like the fact they have do have lots of lead (longer use) and comes with an extra eraser for all 5 pencils in the package is great, it's nice for when you have a son who can be pretty hard on them! We sure love the built in grip! These mechanical pencils are so easy to hold onto! My whole family feels spoiled by and really love the new Bic Velocity Pencils!

perfect for my picky kids

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got these just I time for my older kids to take back to school, they will only use mechanical pencils. So far they have enjoyed them, smooth and easy to use. The one complaint they've had is needs a better eraser. Time will tell as the school year goes on, but I will certainly be keeping these around.

First day of school

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My children are home from their first day of school and I asked what they thought of the new Bic Velocity pencils. They both said that the pencils were wonderful and would give them a 10/10. They said the pencils seemed stronger than other mechanical pencils, my daughter said, I used it the whole day and the lead didn't break once! Other pencil leads always break". The only negative comment they had was that the erasers were not as great. They said the erasers smudged/smeared when using them. However

Clean and clear

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My kids range from elementary to school to a senior in college and I have to say that the FIC Velocity Mechanical Pencils really are perfect for each range of the age spectrum. The colored barrels make it easy for my 11 year old to keep track of which pencil is his in class and the sharp, smooth writing is great for my 20 year old college son. The easy to erase lead and eraser that is attached well and of good quality fit the bill for my 15 year old son. I love that I can buy affordable yet durable replacement leads for this pencil and my local stores. I have already purchased several more packs , each kid can have his own color to keep track of. Highly recommend.

Love these pencils

I even use them at my job and they write so smooth and wonderfully. Would totally recommend these and have been giving my friends the coupons to try them.

Great for many things!

My son draws often and these work so well for the fine detail in his drawings. It help him bring out his artistic abilities. They're also great for my daughter to practice her cursive writing.
