[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My kids are really excited to go back to school with the new Velocity Mechanical Pencils. The colors are very hip and in-style. I was extremely surprised that the pencils came with refill lead.. and also erasers. I've done some pricing and the price for these pencils are a bit high. I'm hoping they last longer and work better then most mechanical pencils, otherwise I will not invest more money into purchasing them on a regular basis.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son is primarily using these pencils and I have used them as well. From my son's perspective, they work very well! He uses them in school and for homework everyday. They are sturdy, the erasers work well and I love the refills because it is super easy to do. We also love the colors of them. It's nice to have a variety of bright colors not only for fun but now they don't get as confused with other kids regular yellow pencils!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son goes through lead in the mechanical pencils. Half the time the pencils would not even work. We just started using regular pencils and were sharpening them hourly. I had him try these and what a difference. My son is autistic so sometimes writes to hard but the lead did not break as often and the pencil worked every time. They come with extra erasers which is great as he uses it a lot.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I will say, I did not notice a huge difference with this certain pencil. It seems to be just like all of the other mechanical pencils. My son is 12 and he did state that the eraser was very soft but other than that, there was no noticeable difference. He loved the fact that he was able to pick his own color, that made it fun! What may have been a little kid friendly" would maybe have been to add some lights or glow to it. Like maybe when you erase it makes the pencil light up...idk. Overall

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great new pencils from BIC!...my kids are to the point where they won't use anything other than mechanical pencils anymore...and I must admit, I also like them much more that the old school wooden pencils...I think the absolute best thing is that you don't every need to sharpen them...but anyway, I got two packs of these and gave one to my 11 year old daughter and one to my 16 year old son...my 16 year old son writes sooooo lightly and his teachers have a hard time seeing what he has written...but with these new BIC Velocity Mechanical pencils that is not going to be an issue...they write darker than what he has used in the past...and they write very smoothly...they have erasers...and my daughter loves the different bright colors...the lead is great too...doesn't seem to be constantly breaking like some others that I have had in the past...they have soft grips on each one to protect the fingers...my children and I all highly recommend these BIC Velocity Medium Point Mechanical Pencils! I did receive this product free of charge from BIC in exchange for providing an honest and unbiased review...however, all of my opinions are my own and they are also 100% truthful!

Best pencils ever

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As self obsessed stationary geek, I love all things writing. These Bic pencils are the absolute best automatic pencils I've ever used. They have a soft grip and are easy to write with, but the best part is that they write so darkly and precisely. Most mechanical pencils are too light to use on school work or for projects, but these are dark and resemble a typical lead pencil. The colors are great, the grip is great and I've already purchased 2 more packs for this year's school year. Awesome.

I also used the erasers and was impressed with how well they worked. They write smoothly, too. All in all I was happy with the pencils
