They enjoy writing and drawing with them and the colors make them happy and want to use them. They have even asked me to make sure they have enough for school.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was really pleasantly surprised by the new BIC Velocity mechanical pencil. I thought that all mechanical pencils were the same but I Was completely happy and surprised to be wrong. First off the bright colors make them fun for all ages to use. The built in grips make writing comfortable. The sturdy design makes them feel more like you are writing with a pen and the lead is amazingly strong. The writing is actually better than a standard pencil because you have the never dulling sharp thin lines of the mechanical pencil and the darker smoothness of a regular pencil. So it is the best of both combined into one. I was able to write for a considerable amount of time before having to advance more lead and it would work great for standardized tests where a #2 pencil was required. I got mine free through BuzzAgent. #GOTITFREE The new BIC Velocity mechanical pencil is going on our school supply list in place of regular pencils

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I received the Bic Velocity Mechanical Pencils in the mail I knew right away who I was going to show them to - my daughter. She is the queen of mechanical pencils and she has her favorites. Although we received them before school started she wanted to wait and use them the first day of school. Her first reaction was not good, but it did get better. When she first picked up a pencil she didn't think she would ever like them because of the notches in the rubber grip where your fingers go. The notches lined up right where her fingers needed to go and that bothered her. If she turned the pencil to grip on the non-notched area, the clip at the top would annoy her hand. After looking at it that evening I discovered that you can actually rotate the rubber grip so that it is more comfortable. It's still irritating to her to have to do that though. But on a more positive note she really likes how dark it writes. That's always a big deal to her when she tries out pencils or gets lead refills. So, kudos to Bic Velocity for some nice dark lead! She also liked that the eraser is not too flimsy. On some other brands that she has tried, the erasers break right off the first time you try and use them. My daughter thinks the plastic cap over the eraser is an annoyance, so she doesn't keep that on it anymore. Although there are some nice features to this pencil, overall, the mechanical pencil queen" still prefers Papermate Clearpoint pencils."

My son only uses mechanical pencils throughout the school year, so these are perfect for him. The look of these pencils is very stylish and cool. It comes in various bright colors. Orange is my favorite. It has a good grip, so your fingers won't get tired quickly. It writes so smooth and dark. The lead is a good size. It is not easy to break, and you don't have to worry about writing gently...this pencil can take it! It is strong! The eraser doesn't leave ugly marks, either. It also comes with a refill. As a BzzAgent, I received this for free from BIC in exchange for my honest review. All opinions are 100% my own.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far so good. I don't mind using these pencils. I don't usually use pencils at work, so I'm trying something new for this. I've been using them for 2 days. They write very clean and the lead seems very strong, it hasn't broken yet. I like the way the pencil itself feels, it's easy to hold and write with. I don't really like the eraser thus far, it's doesn't seem to erase cleanly. I am going to continue to use them and try a different pencil in the pack to see if maybe I just got a bum eraser on this one. I will be purchasing these for my son to use in school. He loves mechanical pencils and I think these would be great for him. I personally don't like 0.7mm/medium lead or ink and would prefer 0.5mm/fine but I think most people would like these. I will post another review after using the pencils for awhile longer.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Got my free pack of Bic Velocity mechanical pencils from Bzz Agent. I was very impressed with the multiple vibrant colors of each pencil in the package. I love the feel of the pencil itself, as it is quite comfortable, and not flimsy feeling. It does take a bit of a special touch to get used to a mechanical pencil. I kept breaking the lead off, as I was pressing to hard at first, but that was easily adjusted. The only reason that I didn't give it a 5 star rating was because I felt that the eraser was a bit inadiquit. Every time I used the eraser, a large part would get smaller quite quickly. I feel that it should either be larger of more sturdy.
