[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was so excited when my free pencils arrived! They are so pretty! My 11 year old daughter took them right away and fell in love with them. We always get mechanical pencils for school and I was one happy momma when I didn't have to buy any because I #gotthemfree Not only are they beautiful and fun but they work great! The lead doesn't break easily like some of the other brands we have used in the past. We will be using our coupon to buy more and share with our friends!

No more wooden pencils!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I first saw the pack of pencils I noticed on top of the pencils was a refill tube holding 5 erasers and 12 leads! This is great now I have an extra eraser for each Bic Velocity pencils and extra leads on top of each one filled ready to use. Hooray! I decided to try them out fits before for son so I took one of the pencils out to write with it. I clicked the top of the pencil and it sounded like a pen clicking so at first I thought oh this one must be a pen and the rest are pencils so I wrote with it and I still swore it was a pen until I used the eraser on the end and all the writing was gone. Then I began to write some more and found out it really is a pencil and it writes so good! The lead didn't snap off or even break as I continued writting with it. The lead wrote smooth, it was dark in color as lead should be when taking standarized tests in class.† Bic Velosity mechanical has a rubber grib around the part you hold so it will be more comfortable than holding a wooden pencil. Mechanical pencils have come a long way since I have used them as a child. :-)† When I gave the pencils to my son he was so excited to use them :-) I am pretty excited too because school is starting here on Monday and I didn't have to buy any pencils yet to send with him. I think if he don't lose them he should be good for awhile. I can't wait to see how long the lead lasts between refils.

I have a problem though - my kids won't stop STEALING them from me!!! What do I do!!?? BICÆ VelocityÆ Mechanical Pencils are great for writing stories and doing doodles and notes and they come is such FUN and Amazing colors! And the eraser?!?! OMG the best! Works great! The pencils work great, I like that there is extra lead and sometimes you purchase mechanical pencils and then you have to go and hunt down the extra lead size and it makes it more of a hassle than anything. My kid likes them, so I like them! Thanks!!

The pencils write so smoothly and I really like them much better than other mechanical pencils. They also erase much better than other pencils. They do not leave a greyish residue behind like some others would.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just got to try the BIC VelocityÆ Mechanical Pencils for free through a promotion from BIC. My package contained 2 5-packs of the pencils, as well as several coupons for $1.00 off to pass along to friends. I don't write with pencils much - I'm very picky about them, but I found that I do like these. Here's why: * Unlike some other pencils I've tried, these don't scrape along the paper while you write, they sort of glide. * The lead seems to be stronger than other lead pencils I've tried * The lead is also very dark which is something I look for when I do use a pencil. * They come in vibrant, fun colors. There were some things I didn't like: * The erasers don't seem to work as well as they should. * The cost is a bit high - online I found the prices ranged between $5.25-$9.00 for the same 5-pack that I got. That's between $1.05-$1.80 PER PENCIL!!!
