[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a homeschooling family we love trying out new products that we can incorporate in our schooling. My kids were excited when these arrived and opened them immediately. We really wanted to like these. The colors are fun, the grip is nice, they come with extra erasers and lead, which is a plus. But, the lead breaks easily. They don't write smoothly. This leads to frustration with my kids, which is no good. With that being said, we would not purchase these at all.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like these pencils better than others I have used. The lead was stronger and did not break like usual lead pencils do. We have all been using these pencils since we got them. They write really smoothly, and erase well too. The kids like that they come in fun colors, and I like that the price is really reasonable. They are comfortable to hold even for smaller hands.

I have been using BIC for years and have used a lot of mechanical pencils in my day but these, I have to say are my hands down our favorite pencils! They write so much smoother and the lead is much darker. I like the fact they have do have lots of lead (longer use) and comes with an extra eraser for all 5 pencils in the package is great, it's nice for when you have a son who can be pretty hard on them! We sure love the built in grip! These mechanical pencils are so easy to hold onto! My whole family feels spoiled by and really love the new Bic Velocity Pencils!

She says the pencil writes very smoothly, eraser is very effective and she loves not having to sharpen a pencil every day! Even though my daughters have not started school this year, it didn't stop them from filling out their paperwork with these pencils. We absolutely love how well they write and how easy it is to store these pencils. My youngest daughter seems to be more motivated to write due to the popping colors, which is an extra plus for me (: . We've been passing out the coupons for others to enjoy these awesome pencils as well.
