BIC Velocity is a HIT with my 4 kids!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have 5 kids and 4 of them are in school, so there are a lot of pencils floating around my house. All 4 of them (ages 8, 10, 12 , 16) liked the BIC Velocity Mechanical Pencils when they first used them at home. I asked them to try them out at school an come back and report to me how they held up over the school day. It was unanimous! All 4 kids liked these BIC Velocity Mechanical Pencils so much that they asked me to purchase more for the school year. Here's what they all agreed on: they were comfortable to use all day long, erased well, drew smoothly, the eraser stayed clean (bonus), the eraser didn't wear down quickly after a few uses, and they liked the bright colors. My 8 year-old son thought it was cool that it looked like a pen. My 12 year-old daughter said that she liked that the lead inside the pencil was easy to see through the pencil cylinder, making it easy to know when she will need to refill in the future. My 16 year-old will often get calluses and she said that the BIC Velocity didn't bother her fingers at all during a day's use (That was a relief to her!). The only complaint came from my 10 year-old daughter as she said that she lost the clear eraser cap after the first time she used it as it rolled off her desk. That wasn't a deal breaker for her though. All kids have seen the BIC Velocity Mechanical Pencils at their school as other students have been using them too! Must be a hit with everyone! Below is a photo of my 12 year-old. She is ALWAYS using the BIC Velocity Mechanical Pencils!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The lead writes dark but earses Luke it was never there. I love the extra lead and extra earasers the colors are bright a cute and my children love they can each have a different color. They write smooth and are easy to grip.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughters both prefer mechanical pencils to regular pencils. They like that they don't need sharpening. My artist daughter loves the fine line, that the pencil doesn't go blunt like a regular wood pencil. They are always losing their sharpener, so not needing one is a bonus! the girls like the pretty colors and how the lead feels on the paper. My oldest said that the eraser did leave marks behind so that could be better. The finger grip was comfortable and did not feel bulky when using. It allows for better control of the pencil. For my youngest who struggles with writing, having a pencil not be the issue is a huge win for me!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wow, just in time for school shopping! I didn't get one pack, but two packs for free from BzzAgent! Making my list and checking it twice with #BICVelocity mechanical pencils. Our schools asks for several packs of sharpened #2 pencils... this year I rebel! I'm sending my kids armed with #BICVelocity mechanical pencils. No sharpening needed and each pack includes extra lead and refill erasers. I foresee lots of A+ work this school year! Yippee! I always run out of eraser well before the pencil wear out! Well down Bic for that. Ok let's get down to business, the pencils have a lovely feel when you write with them and have a wonderful dark colour to the writing so when I draw my plans up, I don't have to press hard to be able to see them, they are not particularly smudgy and the lads are easy to replace. All in all I'm pretty impressed with these. I have stuck some in my 16yr old's bag for school but we have another few weeks before he goes back so I'll have to see what he thinks of them then. The pack also includes 5 additional erasers and a container of 0.7 lead to use as replacements. I am happy that BIC included these additions as it will make my life so much more convenient. The pencil writes relatively smoothly. The eraser seems standard to me and erases most of my errors. This pencil uses 0.7 lead which is similar to a #2 mechanical pencil, which will be useful for my children to use in school. The fact that they don't have to keep sharpening a regular pencil will make their lives so much easier. My teenager already swiped from me one of the pencil packs to use for school! Overall, this is a nice set of handy and useful mechanical pencils.

She couldn't even wait for school to start she opened them and started using immediately. She loves them and says they work well, they don't break easily and are not too light either. the lead itself is a nice dark color
