[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] BIC Velocity Mechanical Pencils are a fan favorite in my household. My kids love the fact that it comes with eraser refills as well as lead refills. They also do not smudge on paper like most mechanical pencils do. The lead is of high quality. I would certainly purchase them again.

Smooth writing pencil

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My kids love pencils. So when they received these, they tore open the package and started using them. I noticed how smooth it was to write with. My kids said they were easy to use and easy to find since they were very bright in color. Overall my kids and myself like the mechanical pencils better then the bic #2 lead pencils.

Very fluid and erase well too

Always drawing

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have 2 middle school boys who love to draw and these BIC Velocity Mechanical Pencils are a hit. They like them so much they have either gave one to a friend or told them what kind they are, and to get a boy to say that much is a miracle in middle school!! From their mouths, my 13 yr old says, they don't drag on the paper and you don't have to push hard. My 11 yr old says he likes the colors but wishes there was a green one and that they erase easy and make his drawings look awesome. I tried them out and agree. They write clean and smooth, and they erase well. I didn't have any trouble with the lead breaking either. All in all, I will buy them. If only for the fact that my boys like them enough that they haven't lost them all!!

Every bit as good as a wood pencil

The lead is much stronger than other mechanical pencils that I have purchased and the barrel feels very sturdy and not flimsy like most. The writing is smooth and legible not clumpy and so light you can't read it. These come in many colors so all the kids have options. Also, they are refillable which is a major bonus because the refills come with them! I would recommend these a thousand times over other brands because they are that good.
