We all loved these!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We like mechanical pencils in our household, but - for me anyway - the lead is always an issue. I tend to bear down pretty hard when I write. I didn't have much of a problem with the lead breaking on these. The writing is very smooth, too. I will definitely buy these in the future.

Pretty & tough

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son & I both love these pencils. We love the different colors they come in& the strong lead! I didn't like my son using mechanical pencils because he was breaking the lead every 2 min.! With the BIC Velocity pencils the lead isn't breaking all the time. :) I always tell my son it's okay to make mistakes that shows you're trying...but what a mess he makes when he erases things. With these pencils he can erase without it looking like a disaster.

Great pencils for school

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I never really like using mechanical pencil. The pencil or the lean will always brake easily. But once me and my kids try them we love them. It strong hold up for my kids use to refill. I also love that it had replacement lean and eraser. It write very dark as well. I will definitely be buying mechanical pencil now.

Overall, great pencils!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These pencils have overall been great for my kids this school year. It is always a hard decision when school shopping trying to figure out what pencils to get when the isles are packed with other parents trying to find the perfect pencil also. Thankfully, i didnt have to do that this year since #BICVelocity sent us free pencils to try out! #GotItFree The packaging was easy to open and my kids instantly loved the bright, inviting colors. They have been using them now for a few weeks and only one issue. The pink pencil in one pack gave my 10 year old daughter some trouble when trying to get the lead down. Kind of like it hangs up on something inside when trying to click it down. It is still usable, but we leave it at home now so she does not have anymore trouble at school. They like how they erase and write, and I do too! My 5 year old doesn't have trouble holding this pencil unlike some others we have tried. He would prefer a green pencil though! All in all, these pencils are great and i will definitely be buying more.

New and improved!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My kids have loved using BIC's velocity mechanical pencils. The lead writes darker then any other mechanical pencil we've ever tried. The lead also doesn't break as easily as it used to. It erases cleanly and doesn't need sharpening. Each package comes with replacement lead and erasers, which helps save money. Not all mechanical pencils come with refills. Some you have to buy separately. The best part has been the colors of course! They love choosing a different color to write with. One of the kids has a different color for each subject. These really are a great school supply worth trying. #GotItFree
