My son loves these pencils!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son is very particular about what kinds of pencils he uses and sometimes it can get frustrating for me. If we don't have a pencil he likes, he shuts down. He has symptoms of Asperger's, among other things, so sensation is a big 'thing' for him. I opened the package of Bic Velocity and hoped for the best. He tried one out, and actually loved it. He said it felt comfortable in his hand and they were easy to write with. I will now have these on hand at all times with refills. I decided to take a couple to work because I use pencils on occasion and my coworkers do too. This pencil writes with a smooth line and it has quite a dark line. I love that they are refillable too. I am impressed with the eraser... a lot of the erasers you get on mechanical pencils do not work well, but this one easily erases my mistakes. The lead is strong and does not break easily and the tip is retractable. But the best feature? The comfortable grip. For myself, I love the fun colors that it comes in. I took the purple and pink and gave my son the yellow, orange and blue for school. He has been using these pencils for a couple of weeks now and they have really held up. #BicVelocity #GotItFree

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I homeschool my children and we usually use regular Bic mechanical pencils. We run through them pretty quickly as the leads always break easily and the erasers don't last long. These pencils will now be our go to pencils when we shop for mechanical pencils. The leads on these are very sturdy and the erasers last forever!! We can never have too many pencils in our household and these are perfect!! These pencils are also very cute and come in an assortment of bright colors which the kids seem to like. They fought over who got which particular colors, lol. Overall, I am very pleased with these pencils and will defiantly purchase more in the near future.

Cool colors on great pencils

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 10-year-old fifth-grade daughter loves these BIC Velocity mechanical pencils. She hoards them in her pencil bag so her brother can't find them! She likes the bright, vibrant colors like hot pink, yellow, purple, orange and blue. But, no matter the color of the pencil barrel the lead is regular #2 pencil lead so she can use these pencils for all her homework. I got two packs for free and I have to admit that I kept a pack for myself too! I prefer mechanical pencils to regular pencils because I like the finer point on the lead instead of the wide, dull point on a regular pencil after you use it for a while (plus, no need to have a sharpener). My first-grade son still needs a regular pencil, though, because he pushes too hard on the lead and breaks it. But the Velocity pencils have been great for my daughter and me. The lead writes smoothly and erases well, which is important for her homework. I love, love, love that an extra package of lead and erasers was included in the package. Thank you BIC! I hate buying her pencils and then having to go back to buy more lead or erasers and not remembering what kind of lead to buy (.5 mm? .7 mm?). It's so easy that BIC included these extras in the package from the beginning. Younger kids definitely need the extra lead and erasers, so this helps.

The smoother and darkest leads makes the Bic Velocity mechanical pencils a good value and the fact that they have a soft rubber grip makes tyen easy to use!

Comfortable to grip

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] BIC Velocity pencils glide easily while writing, the lead is dark and doesn't break easily. They're easy to grip and fit comfortably in your hand. The only downside (which is a small downside) is that the lead sometimes squeaks while writing. All in all I would purchase this product again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I received the box velocity mechanical pencils I thought they were just another mechanical pencil with lead that breaks all the time and boy was I pleasantly surprised...I opened them up to send then to school with my son and decided to try one to test it out....OMG....the soft grippy, the smooth way it wrote, the dark lead, and it didn't break the lead the first few words in...I am in LOVE!!! I use pencils at work and had to steal some of these back from my son. I know from now on we will be using the BIC Velocity pencils.
