Bic Velocity mechanical pencils

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a teacher, I was really excited to try these pencils. I feel like I use a lot of pencils at work, and I was looking forward to trying a higher-quality mechanical pencil. I typically prefer traditional wood pencils, but these pencils are great! I've been using mine for about a mouth, and the lead still hasn't run out. The lead also never snaps, which is the main reason I dislike cheaper mechanical pencils. They write really smooth and look dark, much better than other mechanical pencils I've used in the past. The eraser is also of good quality, it doesn't leave smudges on the paper. They're too nice to hand out to students, but I will definitely use them and keep them for myself! Kids who are responsible with their supplies will also really like these. I think the value is very good for the quality, especially since there is extra lead in the package. Definitely a nice option for back to school.

I have a plannervous I write in multiple times a day and I usually just use a basic mechanical pencils because I prefer mechanical pencils. The Bic velocity pencils have made the mechanical pencils better! The grip is soft and truly amazing. Rarely did the lead breaks and it glides so well! The best part is it comes with extra erasers!! I absolutely love these and will buy them in the future!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I usually have my kids practice school skills over the summer so I was really excited to be able to introduce them to these BIC Velocity Mechanical Pencils. We got off to a good start, my son thought they were comfortable to hold (he really liked the rubber grip) and it was easy to advance the lead. Unfortunately it was a really hard lead and when my son would press down on the page to write he would rip and tear the paper. This happened repeatedly, despite my encouraging him not to press so hard. These won't work for school work, he'd destroy all the papers! Sorry BIC, these don't work for my 10 year old son.

The Best Pencil Out There!

They have changed the grip on the pencils, the grips used to be rounder, more easily gripped and the grips now seem to be more curvy.... Regardless, I love the .09 lead, and the covered eraser. The package came with refill lead and erasers.
