[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think these are the best mechanical pencils to date I love how they write darker than other ones and still erases clean!!!both my girls 16 and 11 use them everyday and both say they are their favorite pencils...the grip and size that's on them at first glance you'd think there are a pen all and all they are great and I will but again

Write like a pro

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried these BIC Velocity Mechanical Pencils and my daughter tried them. I thought they would be like any other mechanical pencil but they are NOT. They sit in our hands perfect and the lead does not break like those other mechanical pencils. I have used my BIC Velocity Mechanical Pencil every day and I have not had to refill it yet. I still have lead left over. My daughter is in high school and she uses it all day every day and she is amazed at how well these BIC Velocity Mechanical Pencils work.

These Pencils Rock

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've always preferred to write in pencil. Unfortunately, as an adult, it's frowned upon. When we received these packages of pencils, we were excited. They look so cool. Their colors are so vibrant and they're very easy to hold. The lead is sturdy. In a flurry of composing a report, there is no worry about the lead breaking half way through. The lead is very easily and cleanly erased with the attached eraser, leaving very little residue. All in all, The Bic Velocity Mechanical Pencils are much better than any mechanical we've used in the last few years.

Good and Gone!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I opened my first package to try out these new pencils. I should have known to try it without my kids nearby. I started by drawing and testing out the lead quality. I'm not an artist, but I'm rather good at drawing eyes. I liked how detailed I could get with the pencil. Then I drew several lines of varying darkness to test out the eraser. I began to erase each line, half way across. The lightest lines were absolutely no issue, but then again, I expected that. As I got to the darkest lines, I was ready for the usual smears and leaving behind of the line. But each line erased just as the lighter lines had done. Once I finished all the lines to the half way point, I proceeded to go in the opposite direction and erased the remaining lines from the darkest to lightest. Again the lines disappeared and the eraser didn't leave any smudges (my biggest pet peeve). I said that I should have tried these while the kids were at school, because as I sat down to try them out, I was instantly surrounded (every time I get a box I'm surrounded). Then all started pulling out pencils to try them out. I was left with the pencil I had in my hand. The rest were dibbed" out."

Great mechanical pencils

My kids are fighting over them!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have two boys - a 14 year old and a 7 year old. They absolutely love these mechanical pencils and I don't know if I will ever get them back to the standard #2 pencils. Their poor teachers will probably have a time, especially the smaller one, telling them they can't use them for a standardized test, even though they technically can use them since they are #2 lead. I can say that I was able to try them for myself a couple of times, and really liked them. The lead was smooth and doesn't break easily like many mechanical pencils. This is definitely a must buy.
