We use these push pins multiple times each day for many different things. I like the clear colorless design. They don't distract you from the document you are pinning up.

How heavy-duty do they need to be?

I wouldn't try hanging a glassed picture frame from a push-pin but that would be downright foolish. These pins are sharp enough to pierce the covering on a bulletin board small enough to fit in a tight margin large enough to extract easily and cheap enough to keep plenty on hand. Not chic but they work.

Mostly for bulleting boards However I also put them on shelving edges to hang item one. A slight touch of the hammer does the job.
