I recently purchased a set of Tru Red whiteboard markers and unfortunately my experience has not been positive. While I was initially attracted to the vibrant colors and the promise of easy writing on my whiteboard the performance of these markers has been disappointing. Firstly the ink tends to dry out quickly even when the caps are securely placed back on after use. I've found myself constantly needing to shake the markers to get adequate ink flow which is frustrating during presentations or brainstorming sessions. Moreover the markers often leave streaks and smudges rather than a clean line making it difficult to read especially from a distance. Additionally the erasure process is not as seamless as advertised. Often I have to scrub the surface with a cloth to completely remove the marks and some colors stain the whiteboard resulting in ghosting. This defeats the purpose of having a whiteboard in the first place as I need a clean slate to work with each time. Overall I had high hopes for Tru Red whiteboard markers but their performance has fallen short. I would recommend exploring other brands.

The markers are fine the darker colors are harder to erase and I noticed that after a few uses the tip of one of them had already gotten nubby and frayed but they’re fine overall.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The dry erase markers transfer ink reasonably well. Their size and shape seem more ergonomic than the ubiquitous competitor. On the negative side they do not erase that easily using the `swipe test`--they smudge rather than wipe clean.
