I am really impressed with the new Steel F-701. I used to mod the old 701s with the 402 button and ferrule. I also had a problem getting my Fisher pressurized refills to fit in the old 701 without modifying it. The refills fit perfectly in the new steel pen. Great Job, Zebra!!!!!

Personally my favorite ballpoint pen. The older brother of the f-301, superior in every way. I initially purchased in high school and found it going through my things after a move 7 years later. I clicked and began writing with the original ink cartridge and it writes flawlessly. Superior grip, glides effortlessly on paper, great weight and low center of gravity.

i was thay guy that could never keep a pen longer than 1 day and it would disappear. I love this pen so much that ive have owned the same pen for over 7 years.

Great pen when it worked,

Great pen when it worked, bought a pair of these for my uniform, when they break they are a pretty mess. Both broke at the top by the activator plunger and within a week of each other. They weren’t super expensive but when I buy something I have an expectation of sorts. Keep hearing rumors of a new all metal version. Maybe I will try again later if they make a better version.

Long story short, great pen. But we want a gel refill with the 701 body (we do not want the rubberized grip that is on the 402). The reason the 701 is great is because of the body..GIVE THE PEOPLE WHAT THEY WANT!

Zebra is still can not figure it out for the modified version with their own ink or third party ink, and with all stainless steel body & parts. The wait is much longer than the promises. :-(
