I LOVE this pen. Easy to use and writes smooth. The knurling provides the perfect non-slip grip for your finger tips. The size is also perfect. This is part of my EDC.

This pen is a staple in the edc community and I loved it right from the beginning. Maybe the best non-slip grip ever, nice weight, and the new version takes Fisher refills. That being said a metal gel refill option for this pen or one in the future with the same grip feel would be heavenly.

I love this pen it's well made and rugged. As a nice hefty weight to it in the hand which I like. The only reason why I didn't give it a 5/5 is because I wish Zebra either gave us a gel refill for it or turned it into a gel. Like they did with the G-402 then boy I'd be a happy camper. Give us the two options for ballpoint fans and gel fans. I know there are conversions you can do but I like the idea that it comes straight out of the box as a gel. So Zebra if you see this please make G-701 it would totally sell!!!!

The steel construction of the pen feels great in the hand. The tip pf the pen comes to a nice point that will penetrate the arteries on the right and left side of the neck. You can drive the pen all the way up to the clip of the pen with very little effort. This is one fantastic self defense tool. The price point is great! It's not too shabby to write letter.

The all metal F-701 is on of my favorite pens. It writes well and is very reliable, both of which are extremely important, but my what makes it my favorite is the all metal design. My only con is the small size. I would love to see Zebra come out with a longer version. I think a pen in the 15 cm length would sell well. It would be like the Pentel energel alloy but much higher quality and a ballpoint (I guess you could do a gel version too). Given the popularity of the Energel Alloy, I think a larger size Zebra steel pen would sell quite well.

The pen did not let me down, I let down the pen

Great pen! Highly recommended for what it is, and I messed up trying to put a G2 cartridge in there (got the cap they have at the end got stuck really deep into the pen). Had to completely disassemble it, cut a hole on the side of the plastic barrel, and use a q-tip to push the plastic cap out the way it came. Check the screw threads inside the body that the cap screws into, and you'll see they're plastic. That's because the metal body hides an inner plastic cylinder the click mechanism is housed in. Also guess what? After cutting some holes inside the tube and permanently roughing up the action a little bit, we see the click mechanism is all plastic too(except the button itself). Overall this pen is awesome. It's afordable, strong, has an ok smooth action (mine doesn't anymore hahaha), and it's able to accept a few other cartridges that aren't Zebra brand MAKING THIS PEN AN ABSOLUTE WINNER! Plus i was able to repair mine from my own stupidity...100% plastic click mechanism and 100% plastic internal sleeve on this 100% all metal pen? Well you know the ink isn't made out of metal so right from the start you should have known better good buddy = )
