I've made a couple of custom-designed t-shirts with these transfers and have had great results. The printed colors are true and vibrant, without needing to adjust color settings, prior to printing. It took a little patience to separate the transfer from the backing, prior to pressing, but it went well. Application with my heat press was easy and the product bonded securely and evenly to the shirts. After several wearings/washings, all is good.
I would probably recommend rounded edges, rather than sharp corners, for large photos or shapes and try to keep the design placement toward the center of the shirt. The vinyl is stiffer than the shirt material, so it doesn't conform as easily to body contours and leads to some pulling or puckering of the shirt at the image corners, rather than laying smoothly.

I needed transfer iron ons on a dark fabric and thought this would be great for the price. This product did NOT print on my dark fabrics at ALL! Waste of money!! Highly disappointed!!!!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Wonderful transfer sheets, but...

I have been using this t-shirt transfer paper a while now. I did a test using dye ink (Canon printer ink), but found the image to wash out after a few washes. I then printed shirt transfers with pigment ink (epson), and those images have survived everything my then 10 year old threw at the shirts

My only hope is that the heat activated protectant worked with all inks not just pigmented inks.
As far as the backing it's split into 3 sections gently folding enough to separate one piece of the back helps. I use a cricut so I weed it like I would htv.

I have always had excellent results with Avery. When I had run out of my Avery products, I unfortunately decided to try another brand to make personalized shirts for my great grandkids. This alternate brand washed out after the first washing (a problem I had never had with Avery). I immediately ordered Avery transfers and, from now on, will only use Avery!

I love these image transfer sheets! Make sure you use an *inkjet* printer, not a *laser* printer! The difference between the two is that *inkjet* traditional printers spray liquid ink onto the paper, & *laser* printers fuse heat & toner powder to create the print.

To all the people who can't peel the backing paper: the directions clearly state that you should leave a "grab tab" when cutting out your design. This way, you can work and wrinkle the product a little bit, to separate the layers without ruining your design, after which the "grab tab" can be cut off. Then we have the person who peeled off the paper, only to find that there was a white layer blocking the design. Did this person iron the transfer on, design down, and THEN try to remove the backing paper? You remove the paper first, and the white layer prevents the dark t-shirt color from obscuring the design. It reminds me of a saying my father had: The lousy carpenter blames his tools. There is nothing wrong with this product. It works great if you are able to read and follow directions.
