Defective batch - not clear

Like another review I read, I have white labels in a box marked clear 22822. It took me 30 minutes of trying to figure out what the deal was. I thought somehow I was getting my labels confused. How can this happen? It kind of messed up my project, but this too shall pass. Ugh.

Not actually clear

I've ordered these labels now four times, and first off, the first three were fabulous. (Little disappointed that the template is no longer supported within Word - not too thrilled about the online label maker, but that's for a different review.) This time however, they were white. The labels were stamped with 22822 so the labels weren't in the incorrect packaging, and the size was correct. What's up Avery? If I order these again, will I get clear? Is 22822 going to be matte white from now on? I don't know if I should order more or try and find another label...

We do apologize for that, product 22822 should still be glossy clear and it looks like you received a defective batch of the product. These apply clear, but shiny

I used these to label a playing board I had painted on a wall. The label applies clear and sticks. I do note that my paint finish is semi-gloss and the labels are glossy -- you are able to discern the difference in the shininess of the label

Very frustrating process

I've now spent an hour trying to figure out how to work with the 22822 labels. That template isn't in Word, so I came to the site to either find specs or a downloadable update. First I clicked a wizard which did nothing but try to install a toolbar and then didn't actually run any wizard. Then I downloaded a template, but couldn't load it in landscape view. The site has no information about margins or pitch, so I guess it's up to me to do trial & error to figure out the specs for these labels on my own.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Nice Product Design

The labels were used for an invitation. Ease to design. Great template ideas. However, it was hard to separate and it smeared upon touching.
Pros: Sleek Design
Cons: Difficult To Use, Smears

These labels can be used for just about anything! I am so glad I discovered these. Plus, with the free templates on the Avery website, you have so many options without costing a fortune to make something look professional or as crafty as you want.
I would recommend this to a friend!

These Glossy Clear Rectangular Labels, 2"x3" are perfect for retailing solutions. I use the labels to label my products. They make the products stand and look professional. The colors stand out, and the labels are durable, easy to peel, and very strong. The only downfall I have is that they are not waterproof. If these labels were waterproof, it would take care of my problem finding an affordable waterproof label. Thank you Avery for making affordable, professional labels!
