This File Box is awesome for hanging your files. Compact and easy to store. I would have given it 5 stars but the plastic was cracked in the bottom corner. Not sure if it came like this or just cracked. Noticed it when I got home. Staples exchanged it for me with out a problem. Just be sure to be careful as the plastic can crack.

I was dissatisfied with this box. I had bought Staples brand only 6 months ago but this box is more expensive much cheaper made and the lid does not have a latch. Very disappointed that the previous version was discontinued. Won't be buying this brand.

This box is wide and has built in rails for hanging files. I would recommend using those as regular file folders slide very easy on the plastic bottom and tend to fall flat.

I was a director on a board of directors of a governmental board. All files must be kept for a seven year period. After weeding out duplicate and files that did not originate from me the remaining files fit in one of the TRU RED file boxes. It has been stored and it available when and if needed in the future. The files could be left in their hanging file folders and can be quickly removed without causing other files to fall over.
