I shared same frustration with other reviewers in finding a suitable file storage container. I settled on this for price and size. What I learned AFTER filling it the LID does snap on once the container is FULL - the files seems to push out all sides just enough to make the lid fit. The kids does not have a sealing gasket but it is good enough to keep things dry and to stack additional storage containers on top of it. I also like that I can see through the gray plastic which was cheaper than other colors when I bought the set of 4.
