I own these boxes both in clear and black. Both serve a purpose. One allows you to see what’s inside the other is more private. The lids do not secure well enough to keep them in place when the boxes are picked up. Fine for closet storage when they are not accessed often. Otherwise I would not purchase them again. I will buy boxes with clips that hold the lid to the base in the future.

I had purchased a similar File Box from Staples many years ago and they are great. Lid stayed securely on. This newer version still has the same sturdy quality but the lid is easily popped off. Does not really snap securely in place. The lid has even come off just pulling the file box off the shelf or moving it from workspace to workspace. They look good in the office but not as good as the original ones.

A good container to keep old tax returns and other documents in an organized manner. It is a little bit flimsy and the lid is not quite as tight as I would like. Other brands are better but this will do nicely. Various styles were available.
