Bought this file container as it was the last one on the shelf...got ti home took of the top and found out why it was the last one...the top rt.corner was broken and not noticeable with the top on. I didn't return it as it was the last one in stock and I had to have one right then as I drove 20 miles round trip to get one. The store was OK but I learned a good lesson about picking the last item on the shelf......it's thee for a reason.

Purchased to replace a milk crate filing system & these were perfect! Sturdy well made fully enclosed and stackable. And portable - these currently hold my young adult children’s important records and info. My plan is to be able to hand them the file box when they are ready to move out on their own.

A “go bag” is recommended for quick evacuation for fire tornadoes floods and other serious threats to where you live. In addition to clothing 3 days of food/water blankets keys wallets meds eyeware computer backup chargers weather radio etc. etc. that can pack into a fabric duffel bag you want important documents. I was surprised when I came up with 25 manilla folders I need to carry on. Stuff like tax related payments/purchases vehicle certificates of title insurance home plot plans/mortgage/insurance/certificate of homestead veteran documents pension IRA retirement savings contact numbers and Christmas mailing list medical and I ended up with 25 folders to grab and go. I replaced their manilla folders with blue colored ones and inserted 25 empty hanging folders in this empty file box and stored it. If I ever have to I grab this box and stuff it with my blue file folders and head for the nearest gas station to high-tail it out of town.
