The size 10.8" H x 14.2" W x 18" D allows multiple use with either letter or legal size documents. The rail enables one to place hanging files securely. I am using this to file hard copies of documents for a nonprofit organization. If computer files don't have integrity when it comes time to pass the files to the next facilitator we'll have hard copies to refer to.
