This item is not all black. It has a white sticker in the center. I had to peel it off and it was not easy. I think this description is misleading. I would not buy this if you are looking for one that is all black.

My old one was a sliding clip. It would always fall off. This has the alligator clip and it stays where you put it. Great products at a great price.

Great idea not well executed

The spring clip on the back is nice and much better than ones that just slip on. The problem with this is the weak rewind spring. I know its not meant to be as heavy duty as one for a ring of keys but it should stay wound up with three plastic ID cards (all needed to access different parts of the building) and one key. I'd pay this amount for just one badge holder if it would stay reeled up through the day.

These have a nice appearance but they are not strong. The string is thin and when you pull out after just a few days the reel isn't as effective.
