We use this product to put out temporary notices to our condominium community in common areas. It stands up well to the elements as most notices are placed outdoors. I also make "standing notices" that are used for holidays etc. and I am able to file these for use the following year and they hold up very well. The price is relatively inexpensive as opposed to having signs always made up just for a short period of time. I find it cost effective to order the 100 pack and I don't have to check as often to see if the supply is low.
The leading edge is cloudy not clear and random air pockets appear throughout. Even with 20 lb paper there is a sizable edge (1/16 or more) around the paper where the two sides do not bond. Evidently they no longer requires the paper sleeve (none supplied & none mentioned in instruction) which is good. Gotta say you get what you paid for. This is not as good as the other name brand. Now I'm stuck with a big box.
Use this product for laminating business handouts and educational flyers for out customers. Have used product for 6 years and will continue to do so. Prefer Staples brand over others that I have tried- price and reliability of product can't be beat. Would recommend product to everyone.
Well what's to say they're laminating pouches. I haven't experimented with a bunch of different pouches so I can't say these are the best but I can say that they did the job and did it well. We use them on the rental counter in the ski shop and are constantly adjusting skis with sharp metal edges on top of them (they are protecting our binding adjustment charts). Haven't had any cuts in the lamination where water could seep through and make the binding Adjustments un-readable. We also use them at the sign in counter and people are writing on top of them all day long and the lamination has shown no signs of wear. Now if we can figure out how to stick it to the rental counter without using masking tape so it looks pretty!
I came across buying the laminating sheets because I was in the middle of a project and ran out. My school that I work at didn't have any in the supply room I was devastated. I placed an order but that was going to take at least two week. So I had no choice but to go to Staples on my way home. An employee was gracious to help me as I was not familiar with that store. I purchased the laminating sheets using my reward card. I was able to complete my task with minutes to spare and sent my teacher on her way.
We have used only brand-name laminating pouches in the past but when those weren't available we agreed to try the Staples brand. The quality of the Staples brand is comparable to the brand-name but upon further investigation I found that the Staples brand price did not compare favorably with the Scotch 3M price I found online for the same size package. The next time I need to purchase this product I will do some shopping around beforehand. I find Staples to be a very convenient place to shop but since I need to be price-conscious I have to do my due diligence before deciding.
