I am new to laminating and I find the 5 mil perfect for posters but a little thick for other uses. So I will be buying the 3 mil ones next.

These sheets keep things from fading or yellowing. The various sizes let you keep almost any item from deteriorating

I use the laminate pouches to preserve many of the posters and signs that I create for my classroom for future use. The pouches are very effective although the illustrations on my signs don't come out as vibrate in color after lamination.

This product is awesome for many uses here in our office. We've used them to laminate signs in our building for activities or area directions. Our teachers use them to laminate class rules or other papers that need to be preserved. Our legal documents are all laminated with these pouches and some have been done quite a while ago. There is no color distoration either. For smaller sized items they bind together just right so you can cut the excess off without a problem. Wouldn't see a need to use any other!

I like these laminating pouches but I wish that Staples would carry mils thicker than 3. There are times when I would like something a little thicker when I am laminating.
