I bought these to make name labels for my Mom who had to be placed in assisted Living. Everything she has needs to have her name on it. These are great, they work well, are still on her items after months of washing. They are so easy to use, and cheaper than buying pre-made labels. Plus, I made these in the same hour that I bought them!Hows that for being Fast!

Vivid permanent marker on these labels wrecked my daughter's expensive new high school uniform dress shirts

Don't use normal vivid permanent markers on these labels! I followed the instructions properly, the vivid didn't come off the labels when I covered them with white paper to press onto the clothes. But after my daughter wore the clothes to school the next day, the vivid had smudged onto the collar (and below) on the inside, and also on the outside waist area where her white shirt was tucked into her labeled skirt- vivid smudged from the skirt label onto the shirt. I rubbed the label with my thumb and it seemed like it had stopped smudging, so I put it through a gentle cold wash. The white label and the material around the edge was blue with spread ink when it came out of the machine. (It was black permanent marker but ran and smudged blue). The labels stayed on, but they don't hold the vivid. Gutted, will have to remove all the labels from all her uniform items as I already put the labels on them all. Since the stickers are designed to be permanent I hope removing them doesn't damage the other items as well as I just bought them. Please test by wearing on old clothes if you buy these. And even though it says to use permanent marker, know that vivid wont stay put.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The labels perform exactly as expected. Permanent markers write very well on labels. The labels hold up well through at least our first few washings.

Absolute garbage

Just bought this for a project. Absolutely useless. Tried every pen, marker known to man and NOTHING writes on this. For each letter you have to rewrite 10 times just to see anything on these. Absolutely suck.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The labels are really good and do what they claim. I put them on my daughter's jackets and shirts and even after multiple washes, they are intact. Peace of mind for moms whose kids loose items just like that. My daughter reads the labels easily and picks her stuff. Would recommend.

Truly are permanent!

We bought these to label clothing and items for my PreK child. It was easy enough to write her name on the labels and they stick well. We even put one on the foot of a stuffy to take to school, but she has now decided she wants the stuffy to remain at home. Is there anyway to take the label back off?

These labels are designed with an aggressive adhesive so that it can withstand multiple laundry cycles (washing and drying). Even if you can remove the label, there may be residue remaining.
If you want to remove the label, you can try the following:
-You can try to remove as much adhesive as possible by rolling it into a ball and peeling it away from the fabric, then apply Isopropyl alcohol to the residual on the fabric. We would recommend starting from one edge and slowly continuing to the rest of the adhesive area.
-Note: if it is a colored shirt, there is a chance that it will remove some of the color from the fabric, so be sure to spot test on a hidden area.
Another way you might be able to remove the label:
-Place the item of clothing in the freezer for a couple of hours.
-Remove the clothing from the freezer and immediately try removing the label (while still cold). The cold temperature will ‘harden’ the adhesive and may make removal easier and more complete.
-If the label is removed fairly cleanly, scrape the surface of the clothing that has adhesive residue with a dinner/butter knife (not too sharp) while still cold to see if more adhesive can be removed.
-If there is more adhesive still to be removed try using ‘Goo Gone’ or a similar orange oil based adhesive cleaner to see if more adhesive can be removed. You will also want to spot test this to see if it removes color from the fabric.

Perfect Multi-Use!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I needed labels for holiday shirts for multiple kids. My iron is MIA, so these turned out to be perfect! I love that there are different sizes. No sense in putting a large label on a x-small shirt. These were easy to apply and write on, and the shirts I've washed have no issues with them coming off.
